I love me my Y&R, but I am bored senseless lately with the show.

First things first, they need to trim the fat! I would start by shipping, Adrian, Alistar, Karen, Colleen, David and Sabrina out of town. I would eventually bring back Colleen but in the face of Adrienne Leon. I would also bring back Ashley, Traci, Nina, Mamie and Drucilla.

I originally liked Alistar and Sabrina, but the shelf life of those characters feels short. Especially Alistar! His presence just reminds me of how much I miss John Abbott. Sabrina might work with a fiesty actress in the role, who knows.

Really, the show just needs a shot of adrenaline BIG time. The writing just feels flat. I think they really need Kay Alden back. That show had a resurgance when she took over all those years ago from Bill Bell. If they let her do her thing, this show could go back to the glorious soap it used to be.
