I like most of your choices, but where is Martha Byrne for supporting actress, and Drew Garrett for younger actor, who so many have already believe has the award in the bag.

BC, I do't want to sound rude, but do you hate DOOL? I think it's funny that you didn't mention a single person from that show when this year has been one of their best acting years agewise.
I don't really see how Anthony Geary could get nominated since he's been heavily backburnered, but if Bryton can get nominated for just being there, then I guess he can, too.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Michelle Stafford as a possible nominee in the Leading ACtress category. She may be involved in the most annoying quadrangle in the history of daytime, but she's rocking it.
If the prenom system stays, will GL even bother to do that? By the time the shows will have to decide who to prenom, it will have been over 6 months since GL's last airdate. And even if the prenom system doesn't stay, most actors will have moved on by then. Will they even care? Assuming that GL actually doesn't bother to prenominate, that opens up a lot fo spots in the Supporting Actor category.
Agree about Drew Garrett. He's the new Jonathn Jackson.
Although Kristen Alderson deserves some recognition, I don't see the streak against her ending any time soon. She's like Alison Sweeney. She's one of the best in the genre, but is for some reason disliked by the Academy. If she didn't get it this year (and she had some good stuff), what are the odds she'll get it next year?
Sadly, if the prenom system stays, I don't see Lexi Ainsworth getting even a prenom. GH will probably go for Kirsten Storms and Julie Marie Berman simply because they're older.

Drew Garrett, if he isn't nominated or he doesn't win then I dunno what the hell is wrong with the Emmys. This kid is fantastic!!!!
My website and blog are taking a little break, since Geocities is closing and I now have to upload everything to a new site, so I am working on a new design and it is gonna take me a while, hoping to get it up by Oscar Season.
I would think GL would at least go for some nods and Deas, Aleksander, Raines, Chamberlin, Tognoni, Chappell and Zimmer all had strong enough material in the final months to garner at least a nod and maybe even a win. I strongly hope the show submits its glorious stars for one last hurrah.
First, many will be on to other projects. Who will give them tapes to submit or go through? You don't think CBS or Procter and Gamble are going to waste money on this do you? Heck, a lot tapes of GL might already be destroyed by now sadly.

It just depends on what the Actors want to do. CBS wouldn't destroy the tapes of the show. I think people are being a little harsh. If the actors decide to submit themselves, CBS would probably be willing to give them the tapes that they needed to submit.

Yeah but a lot actors would have no idea what date and tape to submit. Most times producers and writers would tell actors of what they should choose and they look at the tapes. They won't have these people doing this stuff for them
I am pretty sure no AW actors submitted themselves once show ended

Passions didn't either, but Port Charles did (or only 8 of them did), and like PC, GL ended at the start of the fall season...
If GL doesn't submit theirselves, it could be a wide open race...

Too bad there aren't any GL actors lurking around these threads (a la Nelson Branco & Tina Fey)...

i disagree on a few things here, kristen storms and julie marie berman are amazing actress's i think that's why they would get in, lexi ainsworth, meh, kristen alderson one of the best in hte business, ummmmm okk, I never understood the praise for her, she acts like she is reading cue cards, there is no natural talent at all. days did deserve some more love though
To tell you the truth, frozen_berry_coolaide, I've only seen Kristen Alderson's acting a handful of times. A lot of people are praising her on message boards, though. I've spoken to some people and they've told me that this year hasn't been as strong for her materialwise as this year and that it's not as likely that she'll get it. But, you never know.
I haven't seen that much of Lexi Ainsworth, either. I simply based my prediction on the good old law of elders getting more recognition. Which is why I also think Shelley Hennig and Molly Burnett will get prenommed, assuming the system stays the way it is, even though I'd put Taylor Spreitler over Molly Burnett any day. Yes, Spreitler does come off as wooden a lot, but at least she can act to a point and produce emotions. I'm yet to see that from Burnett.
BTW, isn't Vail Bloom 27? That means she can't submit herself in the Younger Actress category, right?
Vail Bloom is definitely too old for the younger actress category, and would have an impossible time prying any supporting actress attention away from her gaggle of extremely talented co-stars.
I think Molly Burnett's got a natural charm that's shining through more and more lately. But I, too, would take Taylor Spreitler over her. Taylor's just got something, even if it doesn't always show.
DAYS should definitely be considered for best drama series. It's been the most consistently good show this year.
