Excellent idea! I meant to toss praise Jess Walton's way earlier, too. Last night I finally watched the episode where Jill talks to Katherine when she's lying in the coffin. (I know I'm behind.) Superb acting. Walton deserves an Emmy for that scene alone!! The question is should she submit for Supporting or for Lead? I think I've read that Walton has not submitted her name for contention in recent years. I say go for it, Jess! You've had the material this year, and you're more than deserving!

Even though I believe she is a Lead, because of the Emmy rules limiting prenoms in each category to two slots, she should go Supporting. This would allow Cooper and Thomas-Scott to go Lead. All three of these women should be nominated this year!

1.)Whatever happened to Miguel? Is Estella the new Miguel of the Newman Ranch?

2.)I miss Nina so much! Her "formal" meeting with Cane today was riveting, and there are so many potential storylines between them.

3.)How nice was the conversation between Lauren and Traci? So much history between these two characters! (It made me think about Bill Bell and his genius skill as a storyteller.)

I loved the John and his children scenes. Beautiful. Makes me totally buy this ghost debacle. The way he just vanished from his scene w/ Gloria was also quite chilling - a total switch in tone. Bravo, Y&R!

The will reading scene was also quite hilarious - especially when Esther found out what she got.

And bitchy Jill is back when she barked to Nikki that she doesn't mind given that Nikki's life is such a mess.

Y&R has been on fire and I love it. Kudos writers, directors, producers and actors!

Miguel's absence was explained a while back. I think he was described as taking care of a family member.

I have to say, this weeks Y&R remindes me A LOT of the Bill Bell days. Maybe its the influx of old characters that came back or that its just been damn GOOD! I also loved, loved, loved all the Abbott kids talking to John's ghost. Its been my favorite John ghost moment to date.

Did the will reading rock or what?

my hope now that Katherines will has been read is that the writers let the charcters self destruct in their greedy behavior before re-introducing her. Again, dramatic build up!!!!! I hope they don't screw this one up.

Y&R has been so awesome lately. Great use of history with all of the characters at "Katherine's" funeral. I especially loved the moment where Lauren and Traci were talking about Lauren's child and then Lauren officially apologized for the way that she had treated her. Everything was just working and who didn't love the classic Victor Newman entrance? God, this show is finally back on track!

I just hope they don't drag out the whole "amnesia" story with Katherine.

Would be nice to see Katherine walk in at the Athletic Club when all of Genoa City is there having their Thanksgiving dinner.

Can you imagine all the jaws dropping??

I disagree. I'd like Y&R to flesh out and develop this plotline. Let Katherine's family get used to her death and make some major life-changing moves. This will truly play out the impact of Katherine's "death" and set things up perfectly for when she returns.

In an age when shows like to rush plots through, this is one instance when Y&R can really play and cover all angles.

I see this as different as "dragging things out"; I see it as "good storytelling" as Bill Bell would've done - and did with Victor's death.

I agree 110% survivorkylie. I'd like to see something similar to when Victor was on the farm with Hope.

I'd like to see Katherine regain her memory and then realize whats happening, but stay away while she figures out what to do. This would be a great opportunity for them to re-fuel the Kay/Jill feud by Jill realizing she's better off without Katherine because of what she left her in the will. There are so many story possibilities...i really hope the writers play out every angle to a hilt before re-introducing Katherine. Oh how wonderful this could be! That kind of storytelling would truly be reminiscent of the Bill Bell days.

I loved loved the scene with Lauren and Tracey, it was nice to see them make peace after all this time, I was also glad to see acknowledgement on Danny's face as he was the bone they fought so long and hard for.

What a wonderful feast to see Brock, Nina and all the other cast. Kudo's to the hommage to the past, I loved see Mitchell Sherman again.

While I can't help thinking that Katherine's story will mirror Viki's Paris (Texas) romp on OLTL a bit, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, I'm on the fence about the character of Murphy. Or is it the actor, I'm not sure. He's just so...ordinary...

Why is Eric Braeden on the cover of Soap Opera Digest AGAIN?

I get that Y&R & Days sell mags but this is starting to get ridiculous. He's on the cover every other week!

I don't read SOD anymore...for several reasons. I think their fixation on EB is that he's the big star on the number 1 show. SOD looks like they are trying to keep their head above water and they obviously feel like this is helping.

Its interesting that a rag that pans soaps for neglecting entire characters in favor of focusing on few, is guilty of its own criticism.

Personally with ratings falling at the rate they are, I don't see a strong future for Soap Mags either.

On a side note, how weird was it watching an LML repeat today? One thing it did do for me was make me miss Adrienne Leon even more and VR as Dru.

Looks like Glo is about to get busted for the face cream. That according to the folks at Daytime Confidential.

I am thrilled but am actually a little mad at myself for reading the sneak peek. It was so detailed about what is coming up that it kinda ruined the surprise for me. So for those of you who still like to be surprised, DON'T read the spoilers on DC website. It details how everything goes down!

NO! JT needs to slepp with Nick or Billy. Now that would be a fabulous story, not to mention a gigantic ratings booster. And a dream come true.

If JT slept with Nick, I think I might just die. I wonder who'd be the catcher and who the pitcher in that pairing.

Also, I can't believe there are Peg fans. Blows my mind.

Well it looks like we're stuck with Eva Marcille on Y&R. According to the website, We Love Soaps, the producers of the show have been so impressed with her, they signed her to a contract. YEAH for us Frown
