Somebody needs to give Nikki a good shove off the wagon. How many times has she almost taken a drink in these last few weeks? I want to see a full-on Drunk Nikki story. Then she could get Katherine to start drinking again and we could spin the two characters off into a drunk buddy sitcom.

Are you guys serious? I've been in awe by Melody Thomas Scott! Hell, in tomorrow's US show I think she puts Walton in her place! I don't see how some can be all Nikki out, especially when the character is finally in character, and doing things. IMHO Melody has truly been stepping up to secure the Leading Actress of this show.

I love Scott...you know i do, but enough is enough for me. I feel the same way towards Heather Tom now on B&B.
And as for MTS securing her Leading Actress spot on this show...i always thought Mel was a lead, it's her bitter, jealous and egotistical costars who think otherwise.
That lady should have taken Granny Cooper's spot at this year's Emmys, plain and simple. Mel was screwed royally. I thought for sure she would be in the Final 5.
All i'm saying is this, MTSRocks....brace yourself for the noms next year. Mel is on a show where ass kissing and --ck sucking will get you a spot, and it doesn't seem like Scott gets into that.
I also find it funny that as soon as Ed Scott got canned from Y&R, Mel's costars turned on her.

I'm with you. I've been eating up everything MTS these past few weeks. It's strange to me that a lot of people gripe and whine when she's not on and without story AND now, they're still griping when she is on and with story?!?!
On that note, I'm THRILLED we've been getting a break from Gloria! Now folks, thats a character that's on WAY too much. Now if only they'd expose her for that damn cream debacle, I'd be jumping for joy.
I second that notion. I have truly enjoyed not seeing Gloria on my screen everyday. I can barely tolerate the character any more as it is.
I also would like to say that I have noticed a HUGE change in Y&R since Hogan Sheffer started on the show. I am a big fan of the work he did with ATWT and feel he is an asset to the show. Where I have noticed the biggest change is the day-to-day episodes are written with better dialogue and pacing.
I was hoping Ashley would have walked into today's stockholder's meeting and said she now has controlling interest in Jabot, and kick Brad, Jill, Cane, Gloria and Jeffrey out on their asses.
I'm thrilled to death at the prospect that Cane/Lily are history. I'd love for him to get in a storyline with a more mature woman anyways like Nikki, or hopefully a soon returning Eileen Davidson.
Plus, the real Lily comes finally comes out. She really is her fathers daughter. Little goody, goody.
I'd also like to add, that I love to see a Greyhound bus come through GC ,pick up the following characters and take them FAR away from all of us. They are, in no particular order, Tyra, Annie...umm I mean Ana (AHHHH that kids annoying) and Colleen(this one is more the actress than the character).

A Cane/Ashley pairing would set this show on fire. What a great idea. I would bet that Goddard and Davidson would have great chemistry, Cane and Ashley being together would send Jill through the roof.

If Ash is heading back to Genoa City, i don't want her involved in another MILF relationship with a younger man. Her love affair with Rick on B&B was a HUGE bust.
I would rather see Ashley help a distraught Victor get over the loss of Sabrina, and reconnect with her former love. That would help reignite the life long feud of Victor and Jack and send Nikki right to the liquor cabinet.
There's no denying Eileen Davidson and Eric Braeden are magical on screen together.
And this pairing would also send and already vengeful Brad after Victor, who is the biological father of Abby.
And since they aged Noah to a teen, i say do the same with Abby.....
A Noah/Abby pairing..she falls in love with him, only for him to tell her he's gay!!!
Correct me if i am mistaken, but wouldn't it be wrong though for Noah to date Abby (or vice-versa) since they are biologically family related? I mean, isn't it that Abby is Noah's aunt?

I believe that is correct; Abby is indeed Noah's aunt. This just shows how insanely commonplace incest/pseudo-incest is in daytime. We don't even think about it anymore!
^^What I've noticed is that Y&R is taking the "quickest" way up. They just want to get on to the most "interesting" parts of the story, with little build up, and realism. Just look at Lily/Cane/Chloe.
Man oh man, I really don't care for this Ana/Trya/Devon/Neil/Karen story. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! The revelation that our singing tyke is Devons sister hit a huge "who cares" brick wall for me. I have yet to read anywhere that viewers find Ana and Tyra interesting. Even Sara Bibel called Ana annoying. The writers are throwing elements out like somehow we're all invested in this story. I say send Ana to that singing school in New Hampshire and put Tyra in a bus back to Seattle.
That best thing that ever happened to Neil was Dru. His character has always been kind of vanilla and she at least made him seem somewhat interesting. Pairing him with equally uninteresting charactes is was FF buttons were made for.
MarkPGH, I am new here and you obviously have a problem with the Y & R cast, but MTS was not betrayed by her castmates at emmy time. She received a prenom for lead actress along with Michelle Stafford and Jeanne Cooper.
It seems the industry betrayed her by not givinh her a well deserved emmy nomination. I agree MTS should have had an emmy years before. From what I read most people are very complimentary of the cast at Y and R. Michael Gross just did an interview where he spoke of how he thought he wouldn't fit in at a soap, yet now feels like it is family. So many of the castmates stick around for decades so how bad could it possibly be?
This is probably about Victoria Rowell who I also miss. Buy any chance don't you think she may have been difficult to work with and it just isn't a case of her clique castmates?
