Don't know if it was you - or someone else or maybe I imagined it - who mentioned it, but Elizabeth Hendrickson's Chloe reminds me a lot - in terms of looks, mannerisms and even speech - of the Blair Waldroff character from Gossip Girl.
Either way, I think Y&R has definitely struck gold and found the next Phyllis Newman in Chloe/Kate.

Hopefully they will keep Chole/Kate like Phyllis b4 she became a Newman.

I'm sorry, i have never liked Elizabeth Hendrickson in the role. The writers made Chloe too one-note for me. Maybe now that it's revealed she is Esther's daughter, Hogan will make her more likable.
So far, total annoying skank (the character, not the actress). LOL
Yeah, I felt the same way about Chloe. A complete one-note character who is not very interesting to watch and just an outright bitch...but now that this revelation has occurred, I can already tell that they are trying to bring her vulnerable side out a little more and if that is done to perfection, then maybe we can see what got her to that point and what makes her tick. If Hogan decides to do this, which I feel he will since he brought her character more significance to the canvas, I feel Elizabeth Hendrickson will be able to perform a character that can be bitchy but lovable, i.e. Phyllis Summers. However, most people didn't like her for a long time but I always loved her!
Want to chime in more love for Adam/Heather. The couple is just sizzling. But let's see something more for Heather other than being a hole for Adam to plug. Vail Bloom's really grown into a great actress.
While I think Victor's being a jerk - it's being true to the character and creating great family drama. Good stuff.
I'd love to see Y&R do a Christmas Carol-type episode for Christmas - where Victor (as Scrooge) finally sees the error of his ways. The three ghosts that visit him throughout the night are: Hope (helps Victor heal his rift with Adam), Cassie (related to Victoria/Nick) and Sabrina (related to Nikki). I think it'd be fun - in a compelling and non-corny way.
It's been a while since Y&R did a Christmas miracle episode and this miracle would be Victor finally conquering his grief and reuniting with his family.

I'm loving Y&R lately. It seems to be going places, and it's the only show I keep up with now. I'm done with the other soaps, and even if Y&R gets bad again, then I'll just tune in sporadically - but I will not be dedicating my time to another soap again. PERIOD Maybe a little YouTube here and there to check out a "solid performance" but that's about it.
Michael Logan revealed in his newest column that show plans to bring back Marge. And it looks like Cooper will submit herself again in next year's Emmy race.

Poor Melody!
That's a heck of an assumption.
For years and years after the character of Marge was written off, fans were vocal about wanting the show and Cooper to reprise that role. Now apparently she is and even without a formal announcement by the show, the negativity is already starting.
I have a better idea, why don't we insist that writers only give good storylines to the actors we want nominated! In return we can have everyone else on the canvas sit on their butts (because we all know how entertaining THAT would be). But at the very least, we wouldn't risk shining lights where we don't want them shined.
I think this storyline is a great thing. Maria and Hogan are clearly dipping into a successful formula which Bill Bell himself started. That is, have at least 5 solid storylines running at once. I highly doubt MARKPGH, that MAB and Hogan are giving Melody the outstanding material shes been getting with some moronic conspiracy theory in mind to screw her out of an emmy.
Just because we're thinking about the emmys all day doesn't mean they are!
This is for SURVIVOR: I think I'm really digging ADAM WILSONNNNNNN! And Chris Engen, though he sucked when he learned Victor died, but I'll give him a break on that one.
Not all fans were clamoring for a Marge return. Cooper was a mess playing this character. It was designed to give her an Emmy and she proceeded to overact. I'm all for Cooper getting a front burner storyline, but I have no interest in the Marge storyline. I also don't think it matters what storyline she has because she'll submit herself despite lack of story and impact.
With Daniel drawing portraits of Sabrina, Colleen and Amber lately, it's reminding me of the way old, maybe original opening of Y&R!! You can find it on youtube... there's something really beautiful about it, nostalgia aside.
I think everyone is in agreement that Y&R needs a new opening. Does anyone else think an opening with drawn portraits of the cast would be a good update?
i don't actually mind the opening they have. It's just in desperate need of updating. Y&R has never been good at keeping the opening current. They are one of the worst actually.

I agree. I like the current format of the opening, they just need to update it more than once a year.

There goes Melody Thomas Scott's nomination.
Sighs!
Melody can have Michelle Staffords place since Phyllis has done nothing this year. But if they break up Phyllis and Nick and he goes back to Sharon (which they totally are and could not be more obvious doing it), I am sure she will have some awesome scenes to play.
