Very nice column. I don't know if know this or not but E! used to run the Red Carpet show for the Daytime Emmys with Mimi Touchin and Tom O'Neil back in the day. I must say that I miss Tom O'Neil expertise on these red carpet shows, he is treasure trove of information.
I loved that you have mention Jacqueline MacInnes Wood in your column. She is really a find for that show.

Nelson, I agree with everything you wrote in the column. The writer who came up with the Chloe/Cane stuff should be fired. Not only is it a rerun, but it's so uninteresting.
OLTL has been lousy. Why was everyone against Nora? Lindsay has killed two people! Why would any mother want a killer to be her son's stepmother? I don't buy that Bo would magically want to marry Lindsay. The Cain/Tina stuff was amusing, but Evans deserves better and so does Spirtas.
From what little I saw, Goldin was a fool on the pre-show. How does he keep getting this job? It was probably just an F.U. to CBS.

Goldin was a fool on the pre-show. Rebecca Budig wasn't the greatest, but next to Goldin and Finola Hughes she seemed like Oprah.
I didn't mind that everyone was against Nora, even though I thought they were being completely ridiculous. I don't know if it's just me, but the Clint character has been a real jack@ss. I loved when Nora said they were just willing to look the other way about Lindsay killing Spencer just because they didn't like him, as if that's a justification for murder.
I don't know what's up with the way the writers are penning Clint on OLTL. I always think of Clint Richie in the role so it drives me crazy when they have Ver Dorn's Clint do things like choke Dorian or act like a louse.
Agreeance on the Chloe pregnancy plot. What a waste of the actress' talent, who IMHO, has been a great addition to the cast.
As an aside and pardon my self-indulgence, but American soap writers need to watch Korean soap operas - which are more original, but still focused on relationships and reality. They seem to find creative new angles, while remaining utterly compelling.
B&B has taken such a nosedive since Storm's suicide, its scary. I guess the only way Brad Bell could get Heather Tom to stay on for a long-term deal was to promise her that she would become the focal point of the show because that is without a doubt what has happened.
The Nick/Katie/Bridget triangle is about as exciting as watching paint dry and Jack Wagner looks about as bored with acting it as I am with watching it. Is Bridget really gonna lose yet another man to one of her relatives?
I agree with Nelson!!!! Might be the first time I've typed that sentence but Tina not being involved with her sister, brother, and everyone else who's nerves Tina got on, cheapens the return of Evans.

Nelson, i love Daniel Goodard as much as anyone, great eye candy and the guy can actually act, but i agree with you, the Y&R scribes cannot write a decent story for this actor to save their lives.
NOTE TO Y&R!!!
Goodard is NOT a teenager, nor should he be stuck in these juvenile stories with characters we care nothing about (hello, Chloe).
I would rather see Cane burning up the sheets with Lauren (the underused Tracey Bregman) or Phyllis than stuck with Lily, Amber and Chloe.
And yes, this whole "i got drunk and don't remember anything" plot is as old as Granny Cooper herself.
Nelson, see if you can get the hottest writer on daytime right now(and i mean that in both ways), Ron Carlivati to jump ship to Y&R. My patience is wearing thin with this show, but i will give Hogan a chance to turn things around.
