that's fine if you don't know who she is, but at the same time, don't post comments like "nobody else qualifies" because there are others that qualify, you just don't watch every soap to know.

youngsoapfan if you had read carefully you'd see that cassie_steele said "these are all only from abc i donno anyone from the other network tv shows". when she said "quite franly there no one else qualifies" she meant from abc.
why are posters posting messages in this forum without singling out performance dates, shows, and giving reasons. please read the instructions in the first post of this thread. suggestions without any backup do not belong in this thread.
thanks guys.

There must have been some thread confusion because cassie_steele is new around here. (Welcome!) This thread is where we keep a running track of the year's Emmy-worthy performances for 2009, with specific dates and explanations for them. And we'll try not to hold it against you that you only watch ABC soaps.
Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series Bradford Anderson (Damien Spinelli)
Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series Kirsten Storms (Maxie & B.J. Jones)
2/24: What if Maxie had died instead of B.J.
The episode wasn’t really that great, but Kirsten continues to prove that she is one of the best of her age group and Bradford is so underrated and manage to be the one who won me over in this episode w/his subtle yet enduring performance.

Best Supporting Actress - Terri Colombino as Katie Snyder; Best Supporting Actor - Austin Peck as Brad Snyder
After Katie collapses at her house and Brad finds her laying on the ground in pain and is bleeding. Brad rushes her to Oakdale Memorial. They both get the tragic news that she is unable to become pregnant after the doctors had to perform surgery on her. Katie cries and tells Brad that for as long as she could remember she always wanted to bear and have children. She is just emotionally devastated with this news. Until she gets a visit from Vienna who assures her that everything will be okay and she even offers Katie to be a surrogate carrier for her and Brad.
I know that there hasn't been anything to get excited about with ATWT but these two performances today with Peck and Colombino were top notch. They were both moving and very rivetting. Colombino was just heartbreaking. Peck was just as steering.

Outstanding Supporting Actress Ilene Kristin as Roxy Balsom
Roxy confesses to Rex that she killed his father, but refuses to reveal his identity.
Ilene played Roxy from eccentric to normal delivering the emotions of a woman torn between whether or not to tell her son the truth about his paternity or not.
The Young & The Restless Best Supporting Actress Judith Chapman as Gloria
I'm terrible with synopsis', all I can say is this episode seemed to be specifically written to show all of Chapman's talents. Funny, sexy & a little dangerous with Ted Shackleford, funny & melodramtic with the "Girls In Prison" daydream & finally heartbreaking with Christian LeBlanc as Micheal tells Gloria she didn't kill anyone with the tainted face cream. It's was quite a day for Chapman & I'm a little surprised it hadn't already been mentioned.

The Young & the Restless Feb/25/09 Best Supporting Actress Judith Chapman
Michael tells Gloria she is not guilty for Emma Gibson's death
A wonderfully subdued performance by Judith Chapman. Although I hate the turnout of this storyline, I loved Chapman's performance here. Great submission!
Best Lead Actor- Grant Aleksander Best Supporting Actor- Justin Deas
Phillip makes a compassioned speech at Coop's memorial. Buzz decides to give up Company after Coope's Memorial. Buzz is ticked off after Phillip's speech.
GA showed compassion in his monologue about "they are us", giving us empathy and emotion.

Buzz is informed he needs to decide whether or not to leave Coop on life support. He talks to Alan, Phillip, and Jenna before deciding to pull the plug. For GL, it was an extremely well done eppy. Superbly constructed, and especially acted by Justin Deas. Paired with yesterdays tape of GL. Deas has a surefire win if he decides to submit. AND HE SHOULD!!!
I agree with everything about this episode. I thought it was well written and especially well acted by Deas. This is definitely an episode that could get GL nommed for Best Drama Series.
Tuesday, February 24, 2008 Days of our Lives Best Actor James Scott - EJ DiMera
Nicole tries to push EJ into giving up the fuel's project under the pretense that EJ's feud with the Kiriakis family will hurt her and Sydney. EJ tears into her for accusing him of not caring enough and not being able to protect them.
I guess Sami coming back to Salem helped EJ gets his balls back (temporarily). It was good to see EJ stand up for himself with Nicole, which he hasn't done in a long time, and he was rather terrifying when he told Nicole that she WILL marry him and she will NEVER take their baby away.
Sonny with Emma today was very touching. He opens up, and I couldn't help but be moved when he spoke of Carly and the boys without even mentioning thier names.
