On today's episode I noticed something that they should take advantage of. Instead of having Stephanie being w/Phillip, they should have her, Nathan, & Melanie in a triangle. So far I am liking Melanie & Nathan together, very off-beat and cute fun, but when Stephanie & Nathan ran into each other at the end of the episode I saw this hot and very natural chemistry w/those two and if I was a wiz at putting clips up at Youtube I woud have that scene edited w/their song I haven't thought of yet lol.
That should be the triangle that should be getting Days on ET!

E/W, Instead of S/N/M, I would want a triangle with Phillip/Stephanie/Nathan.

I think putting the four of them in a quad would work because of the weird friendship between Melanie and Phillip. But I also kind of feel like they'd have to wait a little while to do it. They'd have to develop Melanie/Nathan a little more to really give Mel a fighting chance of keeping him away from Stephanie.

I was also thinking that it would throw an interesting twist into the Phillip/Stephanie side of things if those people who Phillip let adopt his and Mimi's baby a couple years ago (which Steph's parents basically browbeat him into doing) for some reason gave the boy (Tyler, I think?) back to Phillip to raise.

I guess I am the only one who doesn't like the Phillip & Stephanie pairing. It just grosses me out.

If you're referring to the odd (yet in true 'Days' form) connection via the Brady's & Kiriakis', the show has done far worse ... Max and Stephanie, for example.

even worse yet....how about bo and billie, they're technically half brother and sister, due to their parents being married to each other at one point!

Well, that technically made them step-siblings for a time, but since Bo and Billie were already in love when they discovered that Billie was Kate's daughter, that one didn't bother me. Same with Max and Chelsea, who didn't know she was a Brady until after she and Max were dating.

Now Max and Stephanie, that was pretty gross, because he was her uncle from the time she was a baby.

As of today this show sucks! Everyone of the current story lines are one big yawn. How many more of these no talent kids are going to be thrown in our face? Chloe is in a coma, where is Lucas? Where is Abe, Caroline, etc., and so on. Jay your hair looks like CRAP!! I hear Rafe's sister is being replaced by another actor from PASSIONS. Pretty soon we'll have Tabitha flying over Salem. How appropriate,,,,,,,, Bring back Martha Madison, Louise Sorel, Judi Evans, and recast Beau & Hope's son. Focus on the history of this show and stop cramming these kids in out faces. This is a sure recipe for cancellation.

I'm a few days behind in my watching, but I'm going to disagree with you anyway. I do wish there were stronger stories for Bo, Hope, Abe, and Lexie, but I like the stories that are happening. I'm not generally prone to liking teens and newbies, but I like both the teen and young adult sets they have in place now. The real clunker of a story is the Kate/Chloe story, which is just outlandish, but I have fun watching it.

i'm not sure where they are going with this chloe story i just hope end the end chloe smacks kate hard for what she's done. and where are the writers going with chloe? people on her board dont think she's leaving because the producer hasnt said anything to her, but what is that supposed to mean? broe's not happening now, and daniel is moving out of her story. phloe isnt returning. surely we wont be getting chloe with an older man or younger guy. would dool go there with her, really? i do think higley has the rights to her story. and some of those posters on soapcentral are so naive that they are praising higley for the recnt accomplishmants than those that really deserve it.

Kate should really have to go to either prison or the loony bin for what she's doing. But I have to say, I love watching her plan unfold! Most soap plots don't bother taking the time to be a diabolically clever and patiently constructed as Kate's was, so I give the writing credit there.

I don't know what they'll do with Chloe, but can anything be worse than pairing her with Lucas? I don't think there's an actor on the show she has less chemistry with.

I love the Kate story. What a great little bitch she is. LK rocks.

I love Chloe in a coma. LMAO. NB is cute but she's a lousy actress. This is the perfect story for her. She can look cute all day and not ruin any of the scenes her, ahem, acting.

on the topic of louise sorel returning, which is awesome, cuz vivian rox...what do you think her return purpose is going to serve?

a) continued revenge on Carly
B) continued revenge on Kate
c) re enact her sorted affair with stefano
D) try to rekindle what she didn't really have with Victor
E) wreak havoc on salem any way she can vivian style
F) find somebody new to pick on
or

G) All of the above


and i wonder if there's going to be any word, on whether or not her silly sidekick ivan marais, will be coming back to salem with her, played by ivan g'vera still...i wouldn't want a recast...him...or nobody. haha


speaking of sidekicks...whatever happened to Dr. Rolf?? He disappeared not too long before the mayor was shot and Sami disappeared. John made him his personal butler, but when Stefano came back, he just kind of...disappeared when john left the dimera mansion, i mean it's ok, that he's gone...since technically he died years ago when mimi and rex were in the show and dragging his dead body around on rollerblades ( wtf?? ) lol

Man DAYS sure has been lighting it up casting wise: Crystal Chappell, Louise Sorel, Wally Kurth and Lindsay Hartley...4 of my FAVORITE actors on daytime.

SOOO freaking excited for Carly VS. Vivian again and I hope the rumours about Sabatino returning are true too.

Also SOOO happy the person that should have played Arianna (Hartley) from the beginning is now going to be playing her.

I almost feel silly for how much I've been enjoying the Kate/Daniel/Chloe story over the last week or so, considering how much I complained about it for months before. But I'm loving it. The scenes yesterday with Kate and Victor were fantastic. Best line, Kate: "Oh, Chloe's in a coma. Do you have an antacid? The coffee here is bilge." Watching Hope and Daniel act like they were in an episode of Law & Order: SVU was also pretty good.

the story is interesting, i agree, despite the fact i thought it wouldnt be. i also have to say rachel kimsey is starting off well. the red hair is different but i see another tamara braun-like portrayal with her because i think meredith will end up going crazy.

Um. i couldn't disagree MORE. the current Arianna is great for the role, i hope lindsay hartley's acting has improved from passions, i'm still not sold on galen gerring, yes he's hot, but he still has that "DUH" austin peck school of acting, persona to him. eric martsolf, appears to have improved, but 3 actors in relatively the same roles as a sh***y soap they used to be on...i just don't know....

Did anyone else laugh out loud during the scene where Sami revealed her entire sordid past to Rafe. They cut from one revelation to the next -- rape, death row, pretending to be a man -- because of course you couldn't fit it all into one monologue. I imagine those two or three edited minutes covered about three or four days of her continuously narrating her life to him, and since she's been on a soap opera for fifteen years her stories are ridiculous.

I would have played the scene as comedy and have Rafe respond by cracking up. And then Sami cracking up. But they played it straight. Do these characters have no self-awareness about how preposterous their histories are.

Seth Green had a great deadpan line on "Buffy" when the Scoobies were preparing for a battle: "Our lives are different than other people's."

I did think it was pretty funny, but of course Sami wouldn't. It definitely should have taken her days to tell Rafe all that stuff. But I like what the scene signified. Sami's character has come such a long way.

youngsoapfan, I have to completely disagree with you about Galen Gering. He's been great on DAYS, and so not Austin Peck (on DAYS). Eric Marltsof, on the other hand, has been just okay. Sometimes. He's not ruining anything for me, but they certainly could have cast better. I'm really hoping for the best with Lindsay Hartley, since Arianna is so not Theresa. I hope her arrival doesn't adversely affect the ratings, because I know several people who stopped watching Passions because of how much they hated Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald.
