Loved Carly's return and hope the story lives up to expectations.
As for James Scott, I can't say I've ever been a fan. He reminds me a lot of Don Diamont. Very pretty to look at and fun when he's acting like a cad or being snarky and manipulative, but wilters in serious, emotion-heavy storylines.

James Scott and Arianne Zucker were both great on Friday. I've always liked Scott, and actually I thought he really deserved an Emmy nomination a couple of years ago when Thaao Penghlis got one. But I agree Friday may have been his best work yet. I know Nicole didn't do that much heavy, capital-A acting on Friday, but Zucker was just so good with the little things, like how caught off guard she was when EJ presented the pregnancy pad, and then trying to think of a lie to cover it up.
Regarding Carly, I'm excited to see where this goes. I will say I'm happy DAYS seems to be avoiding the did she/didn't she mystery that often comes with a story like this by letting us see her stab Lawrence.
Something tells me being days of our lives, that lawrence isn't actually going to be "dead" i mean, yes there's going to be flashbacks of him and carly...but did they really just bring him back to get stabbed and killed? something sounds a little odd about that, but i could be wrong...but as cool as it is that they're back...i'm far more excited for the return of vivian alamain at the end of the month.

I also want to give a shout out to Peter Reckell who did very well on Monday's episode, showing his anger for Hope taking off with his baby and then not contacting him.

Man, "Days of Our Lives" is getting good these days, but James Scott still can't act his way out of a paper bag. I'll never understand why he's so popular.

It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

I could not disagree more. He gave a very solid emmy worthy performance over the last 4 episodes. Just amazing work from him and Arianne (Nicole).

Ditto that. I think James Scott has done excellent work over the last three years. I think he actually gets a little undervalued because of how good looking he is (I don't mean you specifically, 742, just in general).
Same here. James was really strong and conveyed the anger, which I am so glad they went for b/c EJ has every right to be mad about this. And Ari was so amazing today. If she, Alison, & James were to get nominations they would be well deserved.

Agree about Zuker, but thought Scott was just embarrassing. His wild, flamboyant gesticulations and awkward line readings -- he enunciates dialogue like he can barely get it out of his mouth -- kind of took me out of the scenes, but whenever the camera was on Zuker, even when she didn't have any dialogue she was excellent. Just the look on her face at being discovered brought more to the confrontation than Scott's ungainly fire-and-brimstone emoting.

Wow, I am really surprised by those comments, 742. It's amazing that two people can be watching the same thing and look at it so differently. But then I guess that's nothing new.
Carly killing Lawrence was definitely a shock to me, and then immediately heading back to Salem, and apparently calling Bo. I guess the show thought that they needed to have Carly interacting with the established characters quickly for fear that people might not be interested in Carly/Lawrence on their own. They haven't been on the show in a long time, so I guess it's hard to gauge how interested the audience is in the character's return.
I find it hilarious, but so perfectly in character, how hard Maggie and Daniel are working to protect Stefano from Kate. These people hate Stefano, but they're so angry with Kate that it doesn't matter. I loved the Kate/Daniel scenes. It would be interesting if Daniel became as obsessed with getting revenge on Kate as she was with getting revenge on him and Chloe.
is nadia bjorlin going to renew with the show? i hope she doesnt because she is better off somewhere else. preferrably b&b. her and brown could get ratings for that show and she could get owen and rick away from that horrible actress. that horrible actress should make some doubters grateful that at least nadia has an edge about her. i think she could pull off a kimberly recast.
bjorlin may not be a great actress but she is beautiful and can play sexy and alluring like no one else. she's one of the very few who doesnt have to be a good actress to be in daytime. they are purposely wasting chloe on daniel, she should bolt. and i wouldnt want chloe around when sami learns chloe told nicole about her pregnancy that started this whole baby switch. now i know she doesnt know about the switch but sami is gonna put words in her mouth anyways.
but i will not follow her to gh if she goes there, i might watch youtube clips if she doesnt become sonny or johnny's love interest.

because it's days of our lives, watch for daniel jonas to have had some sort of affair with carly manning in the time that she was off with lawrence ( which was rumored ) she will turn out to be his "dead wife" which will result in victor getting what he wants, since crystal chappell said this is not a bo/carly reunite, this has to be more than a carly running away from lawrence to get bo's help to hide her until vivian kills her...sort of storyline. i am curious to see what happens, but i hope carly has no connection to daniel...i wish him and chloe would ride off into the sunset.
