I know that Elizabeth Hubbard won a couple of Emmys in the 70s, one for The Doctors, and the other for the First Lady Diaries special, but I noticed she was nominated for As the World Turns for seven consecutive years, and never won.

Was there any time during her nominations where she was a sho-in, or should have won? Her Lucinda Walsh is such an iconic character and it's sad that she's never won for this role.

Great question this is something I have always wondered myself, she always was ATWT for me. I love Lucinda Walsh, and the role she always played.

One of the best actresses in the biz, Hubbard should have won in 1987 for the year Lily found out she wasn't Lucinda's daughter.

Kim Zimmer's hammy portrayal of Reva Shayne got the award that year, but it was Hubbard's to lose...and shamefully, she did.
