Winners:
Answers to blind items first---> BLIND ITEMS:
The winner in the Daytime Drama Series race has only ONE other win in any other categories, besides the top prize- Y&R- it's only other win was for Lead Actor

One soap/network will have its first Lead Acting win- as mentioned, DAYS & NBC

One soap (up for series) will claim half of the acting prizes, but lose the most important prize- actually, they only claimed three (both Supporting races and Guest Actress), GL

One network will have the most acting wins; while another network will only have ONE (CBS- Lead Actor, Supporting Actor and Actress, Guest Actor and Actress; ABC- Younger Actress- Julie Berman)

One of the regular acting winners was the ONLY actor nominated from his or her soap- Julie Berman was the ONLY actor from her show (GH) nominated- the show failed to get a Best Cast nod like Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy, hahaha- , the fewest acting nods for GH since the sophomore year of the Bryan Awards- 2002)

OK- WINNERS:

Lead Actor- Eric Braeden, Y&R

FACTS:
GL could join Everybody Loves Raymond, Will & Grace, and The Sopranos in winning for their final hurrah next year....However, they are cursed for Most Missed Series, as soap operas are 0-2 (Passions lost last year to "The Wire", and Port Charles lost in the infamous three-way tie of "Frasier", "Friends", and "Sex and the City" in 2004), but since GL has been on for more than 15,000 episodes, that category is theirs (just don't tell Hank Hill, the survivors of Flight 815, or Adrian Monk) Cool

GL's Olivia and Natalia are the second same-sex couple to be crowned Daytime's Cutest Couple in the last two years (last year's champs- ATWT's Luke and Noah being the other), and they took the Tandem award as well, joining Primetime Drama's two-time Tandem/Cutest Couple winners Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz of Bones fame as being the only TV pairings to accomplish this feat since the re-re-structuring of these categories in 2005.

B&B was the only soap opera that failed to win a Bryan Award this year

NBC now has a Lead Acting win....

NBC won more than one acting award for a soap opera for the first time since 2002 (Passions- Juliet Mills and Josh Ryan Evans)

This is only the 3rd time ATWT has not won a regular acting award (2003 and 2005 being the other two times)

Y&R's two wins (out of 22 nominations) helped them avoid the biggest shutout in Bryan Awards history (which still stands at 15 nominations- Gilmore Girls, 2001)

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR NEXT YEAR:
Next year's Bryan Awards will have extra categories in commemoration of it being the 10th Bryan Awards...

I love her too, that's why she won a Bryan Award in 2007.

Great job Bryan!

I have a question. Now that GL is going off the air, will you still continue with these awards?

What luck for rulers that men do not think.

Yes...the Daytime Awards are part of a bigger awards, but because the Daytime Emmys were held so late this year, I opted to do this the day before to make it more timely, instead of how I normally do it, by putting these categories with the Primetime categories...
