Strasser came back to OLTL in 1993 and Phillippe joined the show before her return. Bleeth did star on two soaps but she's no longer on daytime and I'm assuming that Nelson is referring to someone who's still working in the genre, which leads us back to Susan Haskell.

Also, Tonja Walker was the other vet (she was also on GH) on the show at the time and her seducing Phillippe doesn't seem so far-fetched.

you are probrally right. One other thought i had was maybe it was Laura Koffman? was she on the show during this time period? But again if it's someone still working it wouldn't be her, so it would very likely be either Susan Haskell or maybe Kassie De Pavia? was De Pavia on OLTL at this point?

Re: the Nick/Sharon story news: oh no! I think I might be giving up on them like everyone else is. On soaps, for me, the end can sometimes justify the means. I think Nick and Sharon really belong together, so everything that's happened to get them their has been good to me. But now Sharon's going to lie and push him back towards Phyllis? I don't see that working on any side of the triangle. But I'll wait and see if they can sell me on it. Unlikely, but I'll give it a chance.

If Mackenzie isn't being recast, my first thought would be Victoria, although it's hard not to also consider the person who's been MIA since halfway through her best friend's wedding -- Colleen. We know the show's been trying to get GT for Victoria. I don't know if that should lead me to believe that they're now considering other actresses for the part, or that any recasting search would be for someone else. Hmmmmm.

I'm beginning to become concerned about all of the casting happening over at DAYS. Some new blood is essential, of course, and I love short-term characters like Owen and Dr. Baker, but they've hired a lot of people in the last few months. As Tim Gunn would say, I'm dubious. Still, the show's been great, so I guess I should have a little faith.

Bring Back Marlena!

nuclear meltdown-either nuke,atwt ot y&r
rp's deflowerer-gina tognoni? did it say someone still on oltl or soap vet? she was young back then.
actor upset-i dont think its seganti, because last time he was on, emily was the center. dusty seems to have been taken down a few pegs less since being paired with bonnie. could it be grayson?
joan rivers treatment:i hope it isnt sarah brown, but maybe susan lucci with this cougar pairing?

I didn't necessarily say this soap vet was on One Life! Soap stars mingle outside the studio!

I don't think Gina Tognoni was on OLTL yet at the time that Ryan Phillipe was on. I could be wrong but didn't she not come on until ike 1995 or 1996?

I'm thinking it might be somebody from All My Children, in which case i'm guessing it's someone like Eva La Rue, Sydney Penny or Kelly Ripa? Maybe Sarah Michelle Geller?

I'm thinking the angry soap vet could be Vincent Irrizarry who is upset that David isn't the major character he once was.

I don't think that's the case; then I don't think he would've come back in the first place because he's pretty much getting the same amount of stuff he did when he first was written out in three or four years back.

This is why I HATE blind items. We never get the answers and they're a bit too vague. How can anyone guess correctly if it's someone who WASN'T on the show at the time? SMH!

I have to agree that the east coast returnee is Paolo Seganti. They have completely botched his character. He's been emasculated by the black hole named Meg.

I'm interested to know what Mimi Torchin has to say about Otalia. However, I find it funny that none of the soap press had anything to say about the Luke and Noah kiss ban, which appears to be back again.

Perhaps the reason Otalia hasn't heated up is because of JL's pregnancy.

I do not get what the fuss was about the gay kiss on Y&R. They didn't even show them kissing. It was obvious what went down though. That makes 3 CBS soaps avoiding gay kisses. Homophobic much?

I've always assumed blind items are for industry people rather than the viewers.

Some people, if they don't know, you can't tell 'em.

I've never been a fan of blind items that will never be explained. It's like a quiz show where you never find out if you won. They're pointless. And they dominate the discussion, which should be more focused on the actual news being reported.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."
- Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
