A little birdie tells me All My Children has in fact managed to lure Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) back to the fold now that the soap is gearing up to jump coasts.
"Rebecca is definitely coming back," says one mole.
A second insider says Budig is angling to appear on the soap in a recurring capacity ala Chrishell Stause.
"Rebecca has told ABC she doesn't want to sign a long term contract, but that could change," says the blabber.
Reportedly, AMC is banking on a Greenlee/Ryan/Erica triangle. Jesus take the wheel...
I am not sure what is worse Erica wanting to be with Ryan? Or Greenlee wanting to be back with Ryan? Fans never liked Ryan and Greenlee so how the heck do they think a triangle between 3 is a sl??
who is writing this show and when is Lucci going to fight for it?

I think Greenlee vs. Erica is definitely a good idea, but not with Ryan in the middle, since, yes, fans have never cared for the Greenlee/Ryan pairing. And also, yeah, Rebecca Budig shouldn't be going back to that show. I'd love to see her on a show I would actually watch.
Wasn't it reported that when Budig left the second time earlier this year it was because she was unhappy with the writing? Well, the same people are still writing the show, so I'm not sure what she is expecting this time around. A better production facility is all well and good, but it doesn't change the fact that the writing sucks. Of course, she was commuting to NY during her last stint, so if she needs the job, its easier to justify driving 30 minutes to be miserable as opposed to flying across the country.

this became obvious to me when i found out about her sitting beside frons at the emmys. obviously frons is who brought her back and considering his dictation of soaps, he might be doing this on her part meaning pratt wont get his way. either way, its nothing good for amc as greenlee is boring.
i can't believe she would even consider returning to this show after they botched her comeback last time and at this point is there even one fan that cares about Greenlee anymore?

She's given an interview to TV Guide Magazine in which she says TPTB promised her a great story (fool me once...). She also says that TPTB are focused on character and not having a plot driven show. She must be joining an AMC other than the one I'm watching. I hope she is successful and the show as well. But with Pratt still writing that seems doubtful.
That's an interesting interview. She also states she wants to play the Greenlee of old - the one that audiences either adored or loved to hate. Greenlee used to be my favorite AMC character - until the Ryan cancer set in and now i find myself couldn't caring less.
She needs to be paired with RPG's Jake - as they had oodles of chemistry in their few scenes together before she left.
All in all, i'm crossing my fingers about her return.

If this is to be successful than Greenlee needs to be in a story not involved with Kendall, Zack or the poision that is Ryan. She needs to be squaring off against Erica and falling in love with somebody else like Jake or JR.

Well that master storyteller Charles Pratt is at it again!
If Greenlee becomes the new lead character of the show (DC's Luke's dream lol) we will know why. Frons and Pratt are obsessed w/this girl.
Here's a snippet of the interview the "scribe" did w/SOD
"Oddly enough, I always thought, regardless of the move, and regardless of who we're losing and who we're getting, from the minute we lost her and she was coming to L.A. I kept thinking, 'we're going to get her back. It's going to take about a year.' Luckily, I laid in the story and had it in my mind this whole time"
"She's always been my favorite"
Well thats that folks!
And Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411's is saying that one of the actors from the show said the Frons offered cash money ($1million!) for a certain returning actress.
So is the main pt. of moving the show out to LA was to get her back and make Rebecca the star of the show? If that is the case my oh my.
