What happened to the major scoop regarding GL? Is it that imcompetent Wheeler wants to turn GL into The Hills? Horrible news-- and if idiotic Barbara Bloom cannot clean house this show will be cancelled VERY soon.I've given up watching anymore these days. I hope they lose Zimmer and Chappell next. I especially wouldn't be surprised by Chappell since she commutes from the West Coast.

I suppose I should know what The Hills is, but I only recognise the name because the show is made fun of on THE SOUP and CHELSEA LATELY. It's depressing what Wheeler has done to this show, but I knew from the start GL was in trouble. Wheeler's directorial work on ATWT was shoddy and I still can't get comments she made about directing Jessica's rape. It showed what a sloppy thinker she was.
It's Official Ellen Wheeler has lost her mind. The Hills come on. This isn't reality TV. And one would think Wheeler would have respect for this genre. Her characters are icons (Vicky/Marly & Cindy). And as Cindy she was in a groundbreaking storyline. So it makes me sad about what she has become.

I'd like to dub myself one of most dedicated GL viewers ever, but the show has been around far too long and has had way too many ardent fans to me go around saying that.
That said - THE SHOW IS DREADFUL. DOWNRIGHT TERRIBLE! I dont know how Kim Zimmer, Crystal Chappell, Gina Tognoni, Justin Deas, Ron Rains, and Robert Newman arent beyond frustrated when they get their scripts (or whatever those hacks call them these days.)
Ellen Wheeler is a good actress - I agree with that - but she has taken Guiding Light from a classy show to a classless crapfast and her crew of "producers" should be ashamed at what they put out on a daily basis.
Hell, JFP started out BRILLIANTLY at GL and then dropped the ball, but her worst was not even near Wheelers best. Conboy produced a gorgeous show, but had a head writer as equally as bad as Kriezman.
I hate to look back at GL nostalgically these days. I feel like its a big misuse of my time and keeps me forward thinking about what can be. Working together to fix this show should be CBS's TOP priority and if harpies like us give up then I just feel like I haven't done my job - it's beyond frustrating at this point though because the idiots in charge think they're ALWAYS right! F*ck um!

It's extremely disheartening because GL got me through some pretty rough times (i know that sounds beyond lame) and was always there to entertain me, even if it was bad. But even when it was bad, it still had a heart. What is on the air now is as heartless and nonsensical as it comes.
Thank god for OLTL these days!

The Hills? What the **** is the Hills? Does this mean that GL will surpass AMC as the Worst Soap on Daytime? Um...yes.
So, what is the Hills for people (like myself) that don't know what the Hills is?

Well it's this terrible reality show on MTV and i use the word reality lightly because it's so obvious that the show is scripted in fact it even lists head writer and writer in the end credits. It follows this idiot Lauren Conrad as she interns at some stupid fashion magazine and her stupid friends as they talk about what a joy it is to be rich and beautiful.
It is the WORST show i've ever seen. just the worst.
Ron Carvalit, you are my hero!
OLTL For The Emmy in 2009!

Kind of imagine the Fusion girls at AMC, but then replace them with the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie. And then three or four of Ryan Lavery for them to bed hop with.
I've only seen the show once, and I think it's completely ridiculous. If those are the fans Wheeler's looking for, she's pretty much abandoning all the ones she has now. Willingly.

You don't sound lame at all. In fact, GL got me through some very rough patches in my life as well. Reva Shayne Lewis, Vanessa Chamberlain, Alexandra Spaulding, Nola and Quinton, Beth and Phillip, and Kelly and Morgan have provided me with countless hours of entertainment. No, you don't sound lame at all.
