Why do Daytime stars generally look so tacky at the Emmys?

Best

Ric Hearst. He looked very sexy. His hair was very JBF (just been you know). I liked the silver tie with the blue shirt as backdrop. He has a great jawline and is aging sexily!

Beth Ehlers. The Grecian inspired dress was great and flowy. The aquamarine color was beautiful, as were the bejeweled straps. Her curls complimented the whole look.

Jake Silbermann. The stud can't act if his life depended on it, but he looked very sexy in his understated and classy suit.

Lesli Kay. Looked punk glam. Very Felicia Forrester!

Kelly Hensley. The dress looked heavy with the beading, but it looked great against her skin tone. The neckline and design of the dress was good. Only problem was her hair. It looked like a flapper do on her forehead and then was posh spice bob for the rest of it. She should've aimed for something sleek and dramatic, not hair with a split personality.

Worst

Tuc Watkins! Learn to have your suit pressed before hitting the red carpet! Learn to use a stylist! That suit and tie had so many wrinkles and folds, they both needed botox!

Nadia Bjorlin. Desperately trying to be Beyonce! Why is Brandon Beemer dating her?

Greg Rikaart. What was that? The sash was silly. Pashminas are for women. The silver satin shirt and blazer combo looked underdressed for the event.

Maura West. Yikes! Too tanned, so she almost looks gay pornstar orange! The green color of her dress is not working, the dress itself is way too cazh for the event and her earrings are too costume-y!

Ricky Paul Goldin. Looked like a waiter. The material for his jacket was not crisp enough and the tailoring was shabby, not chic.

Lauren Koslow. Her hair was a mess. The shaggy style was unkepmpt and made her look like she was in a catfight. The dusty rose dress was too drab and the gold jewelry was tacky.

Judith Chapman. Trying too hard to look like a Chinese porcelain doll. The umbrella was so gimmicky and the 2 strands of pearls looked ridiculous.

Crystal Chappell. A shapeless mess of a gown. And the color looked too close to her actual skin tone so she looked washed out.

Jennifer Gareis. The material looked like a lycra blend mess. The beading was very ice skater.

Kirsten Storms. Looked like she shopped for a prom dress not an Emmys dress!

Tyra Banks. An obnoxious dress for an obnoxious personality!

Bobbie Eakes. Looks like a modern version of Cleopatra gone awry!

I would like to add to the BEST dressed list:

MARCY RYLAN looked absoluetly beautiful! She looked amazing in her white dress that flowed into several other colors. It was stunning and suited her personailty to a tee!

GINA TOGNONI looked like a old school Hollywood vision. While I'm not sure it was the easisest dress to walk in, she was stunning up there accepting that award. On a classless Emmy production, with Tyra being the most obnoxious of them all, Gina and her dress classed the place up.

I'd like to add to the worst list:

MTS - OMG! Words do not describe what a disaster that white mess was. The idea is to make you look younger, not 30 yrs older. She looked stunning last year, not so much this time around.

HEATHER TOM was the most beautiful woman there, I know it was a black satin gown, but the fit and cut and hair and makeup were flawless...

I thought the best dressed ladies in the house were Susan Lucci and Barbara Walters. Babs has never looked better than she did on Emmy night. And I loved Ashley Jones' dress.

Worst: MTS & Greg Rikaart. WTF for each?! I'm almost glad MTS was snubbed. Was she planning on wearing THAT to accept her Emmy???

I also liked Ashley Jones' dress. I am flat out ga-ga over Marcy Rylans dress, that was gorgeous. Judge Christina looked lovely. I liked Heather Toms black dress, hated the teal red carpet dress.

I liked Adrienne Frantz and Jen Landons dresses but they could have fit better.

Susan Lucci, Emily O'Brien, Carolyn Henessey, and Kristin Alderson looked great too.

Jessica Leccia looked so good I almost didnt recognize her.

Now for the bad news. Budig was atrocious, Laura Wright was wearing a bath towel. I also hated Becky Herbst dress (i know she made it but it did nothing for me). I didnt like Coopers dress either, I didnt hate it it was just weird for me. Chappell was wayyyyy overdone. WTH was Geary wearing...plastic, leather or what? STRANGE.

The OLTL ladies were hard to beat in my opinion. Kassie Depaiva,Susan Haskell, and Farrah Fath looked absolutely GORGEOUS!!

Top 5 women.

Jeanne Cooper, Kassie DePaiva, Kelley Hensley, Jennifer Landon, and #1 was for me Gina Tognoni, in a picture-perfect gown to accept her second Emmy.

Men:

Jake Silberman, Peter Bergman (the definition of class to me), Daniel Cosgrove.

I thought most people looked good! Marcy Rylan really stood out to me. Her dress and styling were just beautiful. I also really like Ashley Jones (and her brief interview, very charming I thought)and Jeanne Cooper.

The person who's standing out most in the worst category is Anthony Geary. That looked awful.

Jennifer Landon was another Worst Dressed for me. I totally forgot about her.

You might be the only one Boidiva. But I feel like the only one who liked Rebecca Budig's dress. It looked different from everything else, it was my favorite color, and she looked adorable. IMHO.

Best:

Kassie DePaiva: Such an improvement over last year! The style was unusual and quite striking, and she definitely pulled it off.

Kirsten Storms: I wasn't a fan of the rhinestones (or were those beads? I couldn't really tell), but the dress fit her so well, and she looked so great regardless that I was a fan. Of course, I'm always biased in her favor.

Jennifer Landon: It's less the dress I have a problem with (though I'm not a fan of mellon in general) than the hair and makeup. She looked rough, and about 15 years older than she is.
