I so knew Cameron Mathison was going to be #1. Didn't he use to model for the Bay catalogues? LOL. Thank you for giving Jennifer Finnigan some love. She was truly spellbinding as Bridget and her three consecutive Emmy wins are something for the record books.
Seems strange to pick Cameron Mathison as the number one Canadian soaper on a list that includes Susan Haskell, Nathan Fillion, and Jennifer Finnigan.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
Hall of FAME — it goes without saying. Alas, my TVGC editors wanted every columnist to do one to be in line with today's features. But talent played a big part, people! ALso, there wasn't a lot to choose from! I mean — Jackie MacInnes Wood? No thanks. Also, I don't choose who becomes famous. You guys do!

When it comes to fame, I'd say primetime TV star Nathan Fillion ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Firefly," "Desperate Housewives," "Castle," and a starring role in "Serenity" on the big screen) is a lot more famous than Cameron Mathison.

Well, I'm not sure about that — people know Cam more in Canada, and in America bec/ of Dancing and his two million reality shows. There was a criteria:
1. Soap Fame 2. Mainstream Fame 3. Are they still on soaps? 4. How big are they in Canada.
It's not a science.... but that's how I ranked them.
Gotcha. You would know better than I how big they are in Canada, and since Fillion hasn't been a soap regular since the mid '90s (apart from his cameo appearance for Asa's tribute), I guess it makes sense considering your particular Hall of Fame algorithm.

Well, I sometimes forget who's Canadian and who's not, so I enjoyed it. (To me, we're all one big happy family, even if some of us get our soaps a day ahead!)
