I'm normally Eileen Davidson's #1 Fan, but I'm still having a hard time getting behind her in this story. Something is missing. The character is too whiny. Either have Ashley figure it out, or totally send her off the deep end, but the way its playing now isn't working. The hysterical pregnancy thing needs to end.

It's looking like Colleen is going to die, but damn are they taking their time with it. When they killed off her father Brad, he got to save the day and rescue Noah from drowning. But Collen they've decided to bind, kidnap, and torture. The prelude to her likely death has been like watching a sanitized snuff film, despite strong acting from Tammin Sursok and Stacy Haiduk. Enough already!

Hooray about Colleen Zenk Pinter being cancer free. Now when the show fails to use her in storylines, it won't be because of her health.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."

Wendy Riche is still in touch with Barbara Bloom? Why isn't Bloom trying to get Wendy a job on one of the CBS soaps?!?!? There's a reason why GH won Emmy after Emmy in the 90's, and that was all Wendy Riche's talent. We saw how far GH sunk without her.

Bloom should be trying to push Wendy Riche as Executive Producer at Y&R to help save the mess that show has become. ATWT and B&B are unsalvageable at this point, IMO.

No soap is ever unsalvageable. A good writer and producer can turn around a disaster area of a show in a month. For instance, AMC is unrecognizable, but most of us on this board could rattle off ten steps off the top of our heads that would immediately improve it. The problem is that good writers and producers don't get a lot of work in daytime these days, and when they do there's usually someone around to get in their way.

I think ATWT is pretty much guaranteed to be canceled next year, and B&B just just B&B. Brad Bell isn't going anywhere.

It troubles me that Bloom still keeps in contact with a multi-Emmy award winning former soap producer like Wendy Riche and isn't trying to get that woman to come back to daytime. I realize Riche might not want to work in daytime anymore, but suggesting Stuart Damon to Bloom shows that she might be interested in entering the daytime arena again.

For the blind item about the trio, my guess is Ashley Jones/Jack Wagner/Heather Locklear.

Perhaps Julie and Barbara are in cahoots. What I think is more interesting is that Brian Frons isn't upset that Damon (who does occasionally make ghost appearances on GH) is going to be on OLTL's time rival ATWT. He had a fit when Finola Hughes attempted to appear on Y&R. I'm sure he's rejoicing in all these returns.

Thrilled about the CZP news. Finally, some excellent soap related news!

ATWT is more watchable than OLTL. I haven't watched OLTL in two weeks. I check afterelton's live blog, and if it sounds interesting, I tape the show. It has not sounded interesting.

I don't know how you can praise Y&R for Colleen's death. I agree that the show is watchable in a short term mode, but the pacing is still atrocious. It's stunt after stunt after stunt, worse than Latham! Colleen will be dead and the Carlton's will be extinct. They still haven't properly explored Brad's death and it's effect on Abby and Colleen. I can see you and everyone else raving about how Y&R is back on top, then two weeks later Colleen will be forgotten and Traci will be off screen. That's the definition of a soap stunt. MAB is the new Guza, not Bill Bell.

It sucks that they're killing off a legacy character with long term potential. This storyline with JT and Victoria has finally given them something interesting to do! And Tammin has improved in the role. I also think it takes Patty over the edge where she isn't redeemable. Worst of all, will Victor pay? Hell no. He's caused the death of Colleen and the brain damage of his granddaughter. He's still willing to bankroll Patty and get her out of town to save her ass. But you know these lazy writers won't follow through.

The sad thing is, they have great story ideas but the execution is so poor.

i try not to look at spoilers so I'm REALLY HOPING that Colleen will be presumed dead and that they'll even get to maybe have a funeral but then she'll show up at the funeral or right after or something and then they can write her off because killing the character kinda makes Patty unredeemable. Colleen has served a purpose lately and could again - I'm fine with writing Colleen out but killing her just seems unnecessary unless it furthers the story of ultimately writing Patty off - how is she supposed to come back from that?!

its time to round a few corners MAB!

TS is not the best actress but it's quite silly to get rid of the character. Oh, well. What do you expect from the hacks "writing" this show. All they know is death or DNA debacles.

Nelson, fantastic reporting!

So happy for Colleen being free of her cancer.

With all these casting moves over at ATWT, I really wonder why don't that get Martin back if Ben's returning. Heck, while they're at it, bring back Larry Bryggman too! Oh, yeah, that would be asking for WAY too much! LOL!

Agree with everyone's comments about both Colleens!

Congrats to Colleen Zenk-Pinter. Great news. She's one of the best that ATWT has.

And killing off Colleen Carlton on Y&R is senseless, for all the reasons mentioned. I hate when the story is going in a direction I don't like AND it doesn't make sense. They went from having Colleen untie a sedated, unarmed Patty and then recognize her at the end of one episode to having Patty tie up Colleen at the start of the next one. I can't wait to see the supposedly great stuff coming in the next couple of weeks. My expectations right now are pretty low.

Bring Back Marlena!
