This should be interesting to see how well Jonathan Jackson fits the role after all these years and the changes the character has went through, hopefully the show will actually start writing for the character again. This actually has me wanting to check out the show again for his return, hopefully Greg Vaughan is now off to bigger and better things because I did like him in the role as well.

JJ starts tapping Oct. 1 and it's going to be a situation of Greg being there one day and the next day it'll be JJ. Airdates for the actors are unknown.

Trust me, I love JJ, but how horrible is it to just get rid of Greg like that. Was his contract up?
My website and blog are taking a little break, since Geocities is closing and I now have to upload everything to a new site, so I am working on a new design and it is gonna take me a while, hoping to get it up by Oscar Season.
Wow. This is amazing! I do feel bad for GV who seems like a good guy but GH needs JJ back if it has any hope of making it past 2012. If he can't save GH, no one can.

Greg Vaughan just sign a new contract last month. And you know they knew about this before telling the man don't worry you jobs is safe. I hope GV sue them. I love JJ, but he should talk to SBr and run away from this crap

They only thing that can save GH and all daytime show is if the TIIC was replace with someone competent not someone that is living off their wet dreams.

Some of us do like GH, so yeah. Anyway, regarding Greg, we don't really know the whole story, the producers could have bought out his contract and if accepted the offer, then he wouldn't really have a claim to sue.

Yeah I guess u could count that storyline. But nonetheless it always felt like GV's Lucky got the short end of the stick.
I dunno. I liked JJ as Lucky as a teen. I don't know that I'll necessarily be able to buy him as adult Lucky. Especially given that Jackson is nearly a decade younger than Vaughan. But Jackson is a great actor so I'm hoping for the best for everyone.
Just as long as ABC don't eff this up like the 'real' Greenlee debacle.

Bring Greg Vaughan back as Diego on Y&R. I always thought he was a great foil to Nick for Sharon - and also Vikki's - attention. Too bad he got fired so quickly. Always had a crush on him since his Malibu Shores days. :-)

My initial reaction to this isn't as positive as most. Yeah, Jackson was great as Lucky when he was a kid/teenager, but the role that he left 10 years ago is totally different from the role he will return to. I hope it works out.
I am a big Greg Vaughan fan. I thought he grew tremendously as an actor during his time at GH. I hope he finds another gig quickly. I like the earlier mention of him as Joey OLTL, but I don't know if he'd be interested in an east coast show or not.

I feel more sympathy for Greg Vaughn than I do happiness that JJ is returning. How are they going to explain the sudden difference in age AND size- if JJ is still scrawny and scrappy is he going to be believable as Cop Lucky? Plus, although I am not an avid GH watcher, Vaughn acutally stood out to me as one of the better actors on the show- he brought a very real quality to the show while he was surrounded with wild overacting (Geary) and actors who visibly paused while their cue cards were changed (Bernard). Poor guy...hope he lands on his feet very soon!
