One of the other posts below about a better recast led me to ask this question/.....which character would not work as a re-cadt. My vote goes to ATWT's Maura West's Carly. She brings such depth and complexity to her character. That is one role that should always belong only to Maura!!!

Never Say Never! I didn't think Lily would work when Martha Byrne left but no one seems to have much problem with Noelle Beck.

i don't think anybody could play sami brady, like alison sweeney!

At this point i'd say almost no role is unrecastable, but i'd say Victoria Lord, Sonny Corinthos, Sami Brady, Erica Kane and Stephanine Forrester are close to being so.

I think AMC's Adam Chandler could never be played by anyone other than David Canary.

Brenda Barrett is one i think COULD be recast, i like Vanessa and all but she's not so special that they need to wait for her to return. I say recast Brenda already (as they should have 10 years ago) and let's get on with it already. There are enough brooding brunette's with exotic looks that could play this role. They've been trying to find a brenda clone for years now (Sam, Angel, Hannah, et all) so why not just officially cast brenda?


Canary is a good actor but i feel his role could be recast, he hasn't had much of substance to do in a few years now and i do believe any number of middle aged actors could play that role with as much conviction and style as Canary has.

I remember listing to DC podcast where Jamey said that Lisa Lo Cicero would've mande a passable Brenda. I pose that question to you guys too.

i haven't watched muchof Lisa Lo Cicero, but i think as Brenda she could have been a halfway decent recast.
