The Chandler family is about to get bigger: Scott Chandler -- the adoptive son of sweet Stuart Chandler, nephew to Adam, and cousin to JR and Colby -- is returning to "All My Children." The role will be played by Adam Mayfield, an actor who has appeared on episodes of "Girlfriends" and "Just Shoot Me!"
Scott first came onto the canvas in 1988, the young son of Stuart's second wife, Cindy. Cindy died from AIDS, and Stuart adopted the boy. We saw Scott grow into a teenager and eventually evolve into hunky Daniel Cosgrove (currently Bill on "Guiding Light"), who played the role from 1996 to '98. Forbes March, last seen as Nash on "One Life to Live," played Scott from 1999 to 2000, when the character was a film student dealing with his bitchy ex, one Greenlee Smythe.
Look for Scott to get thrown right back into the family fold, but don't expect he and JR to be best friends. Whatever; we're most excited because you know what Scott on the show means? MORE STUART!!! It's a gorgeous day in Pine Valley when sweet Stuart and his cardigans show up.
Scott returns on April 9th.
Who would you like to see Scott romantically paired with?
They've mentioned him about twice over the last 6 years or so. I don't understand the need to bring him back because Stuart is rarely on and Marian has all but disappeared since Jennifer Bassey was dumped onto recurring. But I guess they want another hair model to take up space.
EDIT: Never mind, I just saw his photo and he is HOT!! I just hope he can act too.

The optimist in me is very happy about this, BUT...the pessimist/realistic side of me knows it won't matter...For a second I thought, "Ooh more Stuart and Marian!" I then realized that when Colby returned I thought, "Ooh bring Liza back. And Marian!" When Julia returned, "Ooh bring back the Santos clan!" When Amanda returned, "Ooh bring back Tim, Janet and Trevor." (oh wait they did...but in a very bad rewriting of history and characters kind of way.) I can't help but think this won't be any different...What would be nice is if the show brought Laura back, then maybe that would open the door for Brooke to return.
