June 26,2008...SAVE THE DATE Bree Williamson...the scenes today were Emmy worthy. Today's episode and the episode after Nash's death..when Jess blasted Natalie and threw her out of her room...these 2 episodes are a sure lock for an Emmy nomination and a win!! Bree was totally heartbreaking and thrilling to watch today!! Jess tearing into Nat and Jared and breaking down on the casket...was phenomenal!! Bree Williamson delivered a sensational performance. I was totally riveted!!

B/W Fan,

Is the Tuesday stuff not available through youtube? Or, do you have SoapNET? They should be replaying it this weekend.

Blanchett/Winslet fan, it was nothing too earthshattering but she was on with Todd. There's a girl on youtube who posts it everyday and she has good quality clips. Here's the first link below:

Hope you enjoy it.

Regarding Bree Williamson...

Yes, she was the best today that she's been durring the entire Nash's death story arc; however, she is completely inconsistant. I'm not talking eppy to eppy either - it's more like scene to scene with her. One scene she can knock it out of the ball park and the next she can stink it up like nobodies business. That was proof positive today.

That said, I do think she should submit today as one of her tapes thus far, if she doesnt have better material and if she is prenomed. The good does outway the bad here, but she has 1 or 2 scenes that are terribly forced. I kept watching them and thinking what this years Supporting Actress Winner, Gina Tognoni, could have done with a script like Williamson was given today. Tognoni would be guranteed another win with a script that good, Williamson will be lucky to get a nomination.

GLfan I love Gina Tognoni but Gina has been in the biz for over 13 years. Bree IMO has blossomed into a superstar. I thought she was awful when she started on OLTL. She had terrible facial expressions, canadian accent kept coming out and she was awful but with time she has grown into a wonderful actress. Bree IMO has the whole package in daytime. She has the looks, sexyness, talent, charisma, chemistry in spades with anyone, and I cannot imagine any other actress in the role. I liked Erin Torpey but that ship has sailed IMO. Torpey was a sweet Jess but she lacked a big quality Bree has which is major charisma onscreen. These last few weeks has become a STAR IS BORN in the name of Bree Williamson. I cannot wait to see her as Tess again. Bree

I have to agree with glfan that generally, within one episode, Williamson can be awesome or awful. It might not matter for Emmy consideration though, because there are a lot of strong actresses on her show that might lock her out of lead or supporting categories. Robin Strasser, Erika Slezak, Kassie DePaiva, Kathy Brier, Ilene Kristen, Catherine Hickland, Hillary Smith, even Melissa Archer, and now Andrea Evans and Susan Haskell. That's some tough competition.

Well, I guess I'm in the minority, but I was totally let down by Williamson's performance yesterday. In each scene, to me it was as if she took one deep breath at the beginning, raced through the dialogue, and then went into a round of screaching histrionics. I was expecting so much more.

That said, I'm looking forward to Tess coming back because that is when Williamson really shines.

The problem that I had with Williamson yesterday, in some scenes, was that she acts all on one level. There were no ups or downs or highs and lows to her acting. At a funneral that filled with emotions, she should have been better. JMO.

I haven't seen yesterday eppy yet, so I can't say whether or not I agree with you, zackfins. But I wouldn't be surprised if I did. I didn't see most of her work as Tess before, so maybe the upcoming story will give me more of an appreciation for Williamson as an actress.

Williamson's histrionics always make Jessica seem like she's about to have an asthma attack. The directors need to rein her in and tell her to bring it down a notch.

Which is one of the main reasons OLTL had no business winning Best Direction. the direction on this show is incredibly sloppy. Williamson was extremely inconsistent. She's so much better at anger than she is at crying and hysteria. Am I the only one who thinks it's lazy writing to have Tess come back? I would have found it more involving to see Jessica get revenge on Natalie and Jared. For that matter, why does she say nothing to Bo, Nora, and Clint who sold her out for a DNA reveal?

Andrea Evans needs to lay off the "campy over the top" acting..or ship the hell out!! I never watched back then when she was on..but did catch her on Passions and B&B every so often. Has she always acted like this? Is this her style of acting? Whatever the case..she needs to buck up and get with thye program..or get the hell off my show!! Simple as that!!

One more negative word about Andrea Evans current turn as Tina Lord and I'll cut someone. The woman has been top notch and playing EXACTLY the way she is supposed to be - Campy, Fun, and Larger than Life! The 2 returns have been great, I think...

I am not jumping you guys for defending Evans. I LOVE HER in-fact. But she is campy over-the-top fun, and we are embracing her for it. But why isn't Judith Chapman embraced more? Tina and Gloria are very similar, but 1 actress gets defended and the other doesn't. Hmm...

(As I said, LOVE EVANS! LOVE OLTL!)

Congrats Emmy winners
Bryan Cranston, Glenn Close, Zelko Ivanek, 30 Rock, Alec Baldwin, Recount, Cynthia Nixon, Kathy Griffin

'The Visitor' in all major categories. Truly the best film of 2008 thus far.

Well, Tina Lord was always supposed to be a fun, campy over the top character and played by Evans that's exactly what she was... it was the other actressess that turned her into a boring snooze fest. I think Evans is doing a fabulous job so far, playing Tina the way she should be.

The differnce between Evans and Chapman is that Evans is not shoved down our throats ad nasuem like Chapman is and many fans have waited DECADES for her return, unlike chapman who debuted on the show and soon took over the entire series.

Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

It really doesn't help Chapman that what she did with the character is so different than Joan van Ark. If Chapman had been the first and only Gloria, people would probably be a lot less critical of her. And it doesn't help that the character is largely detested.

I've been loving Andrea Evans as Tina, even if I haven't been loving the fact that she's only interacting with Sarah, Cristina, Antonio, and Jonas Chamberlain.

After watching last week's OLTL this weekend, I must say I was underwhelmed by Bree Williamson at the funeral. It didn't stand out to me as awful, though the breathing was terribly distracting. Her acting didn't seem overly skilled, but it also didn't seem to get that raw, genuine, heartfelt emotion that makes up for imprecise acting. It was somewhere in between and just not very impressive. I was really surprised when Jared and Natalie and everyone left the church, because I thought there would be something more from Williamson, something stronger. She's been getting a lot of good material and so far not doing very much with it.

Thats really my only complaint about Evans' return. I think her performances have been great, and I don't hate the Mendorra storyline, but I wish she weren't isolated away from the rest of the cast. How much longer until I can watch Evans and Watkins light it up together? Or until I can watch Viki chastise Tina for her selfishness? Or until I can watch Tina and Dorian try to out-diva each other?
