I was too young to remember Evans in her Llanview days. But I did catch some episodes of PASSIONS every now and then. I thought she was really good as Rebecca Hotchkiss. But as I watch her on OLTL I think to myself, "She IS Rebecca." I don't guess it's necessarily a bad thing. Some really good actors basically play the same characters (i.e. Andrea Evans, Vincent Irizarry, Roger Howarth). But then you have your really good daytime stars who can completely play a different role (i.e. CADY McCLAIN - I'd kill to see her take on a new role b/c I know it would be different than Dixie and different than Rosanna).
Andrea Evans needs to tone down the cheesy camp!! Yes she is a bubbly and fun character..but the way she acts and carries her voice..Evans is over doing it. Plain and simple!!

I absolutely love how Starr's Pregnancy is now turning into yet ANOTHER fabulous umbrella story ivolving characters who don't even know they're involved yet. When Marty enters the story it could really go somewhere special. I am loving EVERY story right now. When Carlo entered the picture, the Tina storyline is even picking up even though I'm still deeply disappointed. I'm starting to wonder if even Evans' star power is not enough to match up against the rest of the talented cast. Her camp gets slightly amaeteur and nausiating(see Strasser, Watkins and Payton Wright on the same show for high class camp) in this day in age. One Life To Live is just not that kind of show anymore. And this is coming from someone who used to once view Tina Lord Roberts their favorite soap character of all time and the consumate bad girl turned heroine to which every other one would be compared to for soap eternity. Until I was introduced to another bad girl turned heroine named Marty Saybrooke. Am I the only one who just feels that Evans is throwing off some episodes with her Passions/Days acting techniques. Dial it down Andrea! You're on a real show now...
Anyone see Andrea on the View today? I happened to catch it. Wow, she is just as bubbly IRL as on the show!
But I have to completely agree about the umbrella. While I was initially frustrated at the slow pace of Marty's storyline progression, I think we're really building to something big here. One thing I see progressing is the potential for a more human Todd (given his new affection for Marty) and possibly an attempt to redeem his character. Well, that or when this baby storyline comes to its climax, all hell will break loose. I am really torn on what direction the writers are going.

I wanted to mention that I think Trevor St. John has been doing a really good job these last couple of weeks. I know he takes a lot of heat around here for some of his out-there acting choices, and rightfully so. But, I think he has really toned it down and reigned himself in with the crazy theatrics and has been doing some of his best work on a long time.
Pretty great week for OLTL. The Mendorra scenes were pretty good today. It is nice to see Bethanne Bonner get some meaty material. She is a fine actress.

Completely agree. For the first time since he's been on the show I feel as though he understands Todd the way Roger Howarth did...he'll never be better than Howarth's career performances as the character, but I think he's finally getting the history. I really think Susan Haskell has a lot to do with that...not just because she's a fine actress but because she knows both characters so well...way back to when Todd and Marty actually slept together before he orchestrated that horrific act of violence on her. It makes total sense to me that the writes tred the waters they're on now since these characters once shared an attraction. I think it's facsinating where Ron is exploring. And I think Trevor St John has caught on. Anyone else catch the deft of the look on his face when Marty was urging him to tell her what kind of girl she was in college...when she came to "party girl". St John's reaction was pitch perfect and I finally got a small piece of that layer I'd not seen him hit as Todd(for those of you who didn't know Marty was commonly known as "Marty the Party Girl" before the brutal rape). It was a great moment between the actors.

Someone explain to me why she did not win "I wanna be a soap star"

Michael Bruno was a big part of it I believe. He pushed for Mikey all dang season. I was actually rooting for BethAnn the whole time.
I am not a big fan of Michael Bruno. He said something once that made him lose all credibility. "I tend to cast beautiful actors. You can take a beautiful person and make them a good actor. You can't take a good actor who isn't beautiful a beautiful actor." Or something to that extent.
I am loving Starr's storyline but I still loathe St. John. I believe Todd has run his course and has no redeeming qualities left.
And why is Gigi hiding Shane's paternity again?
It's time for that cat to come out of the bag. It's dragging on way too long.
Brandon Buddy is really impressing me these days as Cole and I am ready for them to get Susan Haskell out of that bed and dress.
Shame on Ron for no interaction between Tina and David. And when are Tina and Viki going to reunite? It makes no sense that she isn't aware of Tina's return!

CLASSIC!
you know when she said that all i could say is "Lindsay just hit the nail on the head", what is Nora going to focus on now that Lindsay isn't an issue anymore?
I just love that Ron is making Lindsay and Nora important characters again.
I did find it odd though that Addie and David were at Lindsay arraingment but not Dorian, who is supposedly her best friend.
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

Addie befriended Lindsay way back during her first say at St. Ann's when she killed Sam and they reconnected when she was back there for killing Spencer. In fact Lindsay was the one who gave Addie her makeover when she was being released. I didn't think it was strange she would be there.

True, true, but it was odd that Dorian wasn't there and for that matter that Marcie didn't show up.
