Never noticed that. Maybe just the work schedule. He is lead this year.

i think it's likely a matter of him being a very inexpieranced actor who has been thrown head first into a front burner story and he's probrally feeling overwhelmed because it's likely wayyyy over his head.

I really think they need to recast with a better, more expieranced actor. I jsut can't buy Starr and Cole together, not at all.

Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

I always thought Cole looked like he was constipated rather than tired.

Aspiring actor.

I just finished Monday's episode, and I thought it was really slow and boring. Not knocking my number one soap at all but was really surprised by my lack of interest. Haven't got to Tuesday's yet. Stupid summer school.

Little things are kind of starting to bug me about the show, like how Starr and Marcie (with lawyer) just happened upon this meeting Cole and Todd were about to have with the judge, and how Tess is now being too obvious for Natalie and Jared to not know what's happening. It's all good, though. I have to say, while I like the character of Madame Delfina, I don't really like the role she's been playing. She's kind of like a magic wand pushing people to do things, which feels like lazy writing a bit.

I kind of like Delphina, mainly because I'm enjoying trying to figure out her little puzzles as well. Plus, she has some pretty amusing dialog which I enjoy.

BB did a really great job in his scenes involving the judge and confrontation with Starr. He genuinely looks torn and heart broken, and I think paired with Todd's calm, collected hate it's a really intense pairing.

Little things are starting to bug me too. Im still giving the show credit, because it is still better than the rest - but there are waaaay too many annoyances. Ron is doing WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too much Camp right now. I like Delphina, I like Tina, I like Addie, I like Roxy, I like Dorian, I like Texas but WHY OH WHY OH WHY is everyone playing everything sooooooo over the top right now? Now with Vicki going to heaven, I'm just a bit concerned that there is NOTHING at all rooted in serious character motivation at the moment, except MAYBE the Cole/Starr story. There has to be more realism with all of this playful camp, because in smaller doses it is extremely funny.

Ron, you are not a dumb man - but the show is not as good as I know you could make it right now. You better watch out cause Y&R and ATWT are starting to turn their shows around with some pretty solid writing.

I really am about ready to put OLTL on a major break.
--That Bo/Rex horse/lighting stuff was so poorly directed and produced.

--Bree Williamson just gets worse by each performance. Does she watch her own work?

--The Mendora stuff is officially beyond bad. Not even the great Andrea Evans could save it. And Thom Christopher is now taking ever single line he's given Waaaaay over the top. The plot is so contrived.

There are just too many people on this canvas and Ron & co.'s cracks have begun to show.

Until Tina interacts with Viki this return is a major letdown.

I, too, have been very disappointed with OLTL's set up for next week, thus far, but am holding out hope that today, Monday and Tuesday will be golden.

This whole week has been a letdown...It's sad but after months of great storytelling it was bound to happen...i just hope things pick up again next week...

I can't believe how awful OLTL is right now. It's nearing PASSIONS territory. Robert Woods was embarrassing on Thursday's episode. I know people will excuse it because it's OLTL, but I can't get over the tumble in quality this show has taken.

I hated the show the ENTIRE week. Until this Mendorra and Tina nonsense is done...get your 80s wet dream over with Ron, I'll have my finger on the remote. The show had a sensational June and then had a July that only a step or two up from garbage. I'm stunned how much I dislike Tina's return. The return I'm actually interetsed in (Marty's) only pops up every third or fourth day it seems.

I'm sorry. I should apologize. This is my fault. Every time I devote myself to faithfully watching a soap (other than DAYS, which I always watch), the quality goes downhill. It happened with ATWT last year (twice), and now it's happening with OLTL and B&B. I'm going to do you all a favor and not start watching Y&R.

I'm half kidding, but in all seriousness, was the week that bad? I've been out of town and haven't seen anything since Tuesday. And now I'm kind of dreading it.

i don't think it was nearly as bas as you all are making it out to be this week. We got some amazing stuff with Marcy and Starr and Cole, and i loved the Bo/Rex stuff. I like that they are having Brody go to A.A. and that Charlie will likely figure out who Shane's father is and i love all the Anniversary stuff---love revisiting Mendorra (it's a fun story) and the Viki in heaven stuff is going to be awesome, plus we got some great scenes with Viki and Dorian and i love the Tess stuff...

i think OLTL is on fire right now....

Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

Im just going to have to respectfull disagre Boidiva02. The only thing I think the show has going for it at the moment is the Starr/Cole story and all its players.

The Bo/Rex stuff was laughable in the worst way.

Who really cares about Brody at all?

Mendora isn't fun to me, it's a headache to believe they'd waste Tina in something like this.

And Tess/Jess, I may have been able to get into if Bree Williamson wasn't as awful as she has been since Nash died.

There's too much camp, not enough meat, way too many characters to be invested in, and misguided writing at the moment. I really do hope it changes, I know Ron can write a good show, we all know that. This is far from his best stuff though.

I don't think it's been awful but some things need to be fixed.

It's time for Gigi to tell Rex the truth about Shane. Why is she keeping this secret again?

Brody should be mixed with Dorian and Layla.

Get Tina back to Llanview pronto! Reunite her with Viki and David Vickers (the man and not the dog).

Please tell Thom Christopher to tone down the theatrics with Carlo. He's overacting in every scene.

Get Max and Gabrielle back on the canvas so Tina can mix it up with them again.

Do something about Clint and Nora. Clint is being written as too vindicative. I always think of Clint Richie in this role and the way they write Clint now drives me crazy.

I'm aggravated with the show as well but i was really impressed by Mark Lawson yesterday. I know his character isn't that exciting but he's a very talented actor and I really hope he stays around becuase he's doing a great job.

The Dorian/Viki scenes were great but they always are.

IMO JPL was really off this week. I don't know what it was but I thought he was horrid in every scene he had.

IMO all of the actors involved in the Mendorra s/l are doing bad at this point. I have a feeling it will be over soon so I have that to look forward to.

As far as the Starr/Cole baby s/l goes I thought the scenes on Monday between Starr and Marcie were great. The fact that the writers had Starr realize that the stable environment she envisioned for her child really didn't exist anymore was brilliant and I thought Kristen and Kathy did a great job.

I didn't enjoy the Bo/Rex stuff at all this week. The acting was sub-par, which is surprising out of Woods, and that lightning strike could have been one of the worst special effects ever on Daytime. It looked like a cartoon.
