I can't help but think that the big outcome of the 1968 story is Bo/Rex is going to have sex with Emma/Gigi & Bo will end up being David Vickers dad. Am I crazy?

And I have to say this 1968 story is pretty lame. If you're going to have fun with going back in time at least have them go somewhere that can be exploited. So far Bo & Rex have been in 2 rooms! The room at the ranch & the hippie hang out. And I have to say, a hippie hang out? in Paris Texas? in 1968? I don't think so. It would have been a redneck bar populated by a lot of straight-laced, conservative cowboys. There would have been a huge picture of LBJ behind the bar & Asa would have had his own booth! I'm just saying...

If Rex/Bo sleeps with Emma, does that count as cheating on Gigi? Oh wait, he's married to Adriana, haha.

I still really like this storyline, I think it's cute, and I got my wish for more Gigi. I just am hoping that this will somehow lead to someone telling Shane that Rex is his father. And I will still cling to my hope that Asa is the father for Rex. Maybe that will come about as well?

This makes me wonder, because I didn't see the episodes where it was discovered so I don't know how it happened, how is it we found out that David Vickers is Asa's son? (As in, do we know that that's true?) This angle makes the 1968 story more interesting, though it would be better if David Vickers were still around.

Maybe this is changing history. Could this be a way to recast Vickers? Is Tuc Watkins coming back?

I don't understand why Justus Bolding is still on the show. That girl is so damn awful and definitely falls under the category of "hair model."

I was loving the Cord/Tina scenes until Cord called Sarah back into the room. Ugh!

Okay -- let's say that Rex/Bo sleeps with Emma and now is David's father. What does that do to the last year of story.

Since Asa 'announced' his illegitimate son in his will, does that not happen now? If not, Jared doesn't pass himself off as Asa's son, because there isn't one. So the whole BE takeover doesn't happen and Nash is still alive?

I know that's ALOT to undo, but doesn't that make sense?

OR, do they just go back (real Bo and Rex) now knowing that Bo is David's father and use that against Dorian to get back BE???

Thoughts?

If they make Bo David's father, I would have to believe that Asa then has some other illegitimate son, that we still don't know who it is, and that nothing in the present changes. I still don't think they can actually really change anything without making a mess of the present. Even just making that change and having there be another heir might land Jared back in jail and would undo the burning down of Carlotta's diner and Gigi's working at Rodi's and having the interaction that leads her to seek out Rex in 1968. I really hope this is all well thought out. It's one thing to have a stories that seem ridiculous and don't catch on, but it would be sort of disastrous to make haphazard changes to history and continuity without really flushing out the consequences.

But I'm still curious: Has there been proof positive that David Vickers is/was Asa's son?

Emmy --

The only 'proof' was Jared taking the DNA test, using David's hair. Wouldn't it come back as a match though, if Bo was his father?

Also, the present could remain the same, if Emma TOLD Asa it was his son in order to bilk more money out of them.

I like the idea of David being Bo's son, could be interesting, if, as you state, it doesn't undo very much of the present.

Thanks FtWorthGuy. I totally agree with what you said, then. Bo being David's father would be an interesting twist and would also make me like 1968 a lot more. It's one thing to not acknowledge your bastard half-brother, but it's pretty wrong to do the same to your bastard son.

The 1968 storyline is LAME and the actors in it are lame and cheesy too..except Robert Woods and JPL!! John Brotherton is so hot..and i thought he was an ok actor at first..but now he is really hammy and stale!! Farrah Fath is a slack actress too. I CANNOT stand her stupid face expressions and watching her try to be sarcstic and have attituide with her character. It is lame. Not to mention she looks totally "fake" with her botox lips.

I'll be in the minority but I kind of enjoyed the 1968 scenes yesterday (Wednesday). I liked the fact that now everyone is in the same spot but 40 years apart....I was kind of excited to know if Rex and Bo were going to make it or not....

Best part of the show though was Layla/Brody.

Worst part...the young Clint character. Granted yes a person does change over 40 years even Clint was introduced on the show in 79 he wasn't this arrogant...

I'm enjoying the 1968 story for many reasons but I do love what Farah Fath is doing as Gigi-she seems like a real person which makes this whole think so much enjoyable. Also, the references to events of the time, attitudes,etc.. add to the story. Lea Deloria is having a romp (and it shows)and that adds some good humor to this thing. I love the costumes and music of that era and the fact someone did some actual research about those things. It's both that aspect and the fact that I do want to see how this time travel story plays out that has me interested. And it's such a refreshing change of pace for the show and that's always a good element to add. It shows that Ron and co. do give a damn about how they present the series and that they're not just doing this on autopilot as so many(MOST)of the other soaps have done in the last decade.

Remembering the 1990's!

is it true they are going to kill off Spencer Truman in the 68 storyline?

if they do wouldn't that change the entire history of the show? that would make Evangaline alive, would erase Lindsay being a killer, would stop Todd from learning about Tommy, would stop almost the entire last three years of storylines.

Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

This entire 1968 storyline SUCKS. And if what you read was right, then talk about a COP OUT. OLTL went from Gold, to sh!t.

What luck for rulers that men do not think.

After finishing this week's OLTL eppys, I am beyond frustrated with this 1968 storyline. Now Gigi's in 1968? Come on! This just opens up so many more stupid questions. Is Gigi now Asa? Why is Gigi not Emmy Bradley? And now that I'm thinking about it, what happens to 1968 Bo and Asa when 2008 Rex and Bo are in their places? So many things make so little sense.

I think they are going to wrap up all of those questions. I do think this plot is well thought out, and we will know the true message later. However, I wonder if Gigi might be Roxy in 1968 since both are mothers who sons don't know their true father.

I feel like they are really trying to show how history repeats itself in the plot lines...I am anxious to see how it ends.

Why does Gigi look like Emma if Rex had to become Bo & Bo had to become Asa?! If Gigi knew she was in 1968 why was she so sure that was Shane? This story is wearing on my last nerve. Also this Marty & Todd thing is going on too long. I know there's going to be a great pay off, but it's so creepy...
