it seems like there are a few actors that everyone puts on their predictions but they never seem to get in. who fits in that category?
1.Bree Williamson 2.Katherine Kelly Lang (has not by now she is not gonna and she's on cbs to boot, she should be a shue in) 3.Deidre Hall (she was nominated before but not in decades, i don't think she will ever get in again) 4.kristen storms (sadly, i hope i'm wrong, she's only been getting really buzz worthy these past years though it may not be too late) 5.john hensley 6.john paul lavosier 7.melody thomas scott
Melody Thomas Scott and Deidre Hall have both nominated in the past. I know MTS was in 1999, and I think Hall was nominated at least once in the early-mid 80's.
yeah i mentioned i know deidre was, i forgot about melody though, she was nominated the year susan lucci won right? still she seems to be on peoples predictions every year and doesn't get in

Hell, she hasn't even been a bridesmaid.....

Do i sound bitter???????
I'm holding onto one last small sliver of hope for Katherine Kelly Lang in 2009, Mark. I thought her work during the episodes surrounding Storm's suicide was even stronger than her work during the rape storyline. Now, if she doesn't get nominated in 2009, then I will officially give up all hope.
Not that she deserves it, but Alicia Minshew has been prenommed every year since 2004 (In 2003, the opening year of prenoms, they were Rebecca Budig & Marj Dusay). That's 5 prenoms, no actual noms.
I actually wouldn't be at all surprised to see KKL (who really was at her best ever during Storm's Suicide story), MTS (who is underrated but who I think has a good shot this year), and Laura Wright (apparently one of the worst tape selectors ever) all on the ballot this year. Deidre Hall had three or four noms back in the late 70s/early 80s, but after not getting nommed last year, I doubt she'll ever be in again (and she would agree on that). Neither Alicia Minshew nor Bree Williamson is a strong enough actress to warrant an Emmy nomination.
I agree on Hunter Tylo, Jon Hensley, and Catherine Hickland, unfortunately.

Kristen Alderson; she has continually been snubbed by her peers. When Starr was the little girl with a tormented mind she was brillant and was snubbed every single year; and clearly age wasn't a factor since Y&R's Camryn Grimes, of a similar age was nodded and won; yet Alderson was snubbed. Hopefully this years pregnancy storyline can shoot her into a nomination.
Kassie De Pavia, she's been nominated once and has been snubbed every other year (including for her tremendous work during Live Week)...
Kirsten Storms, i have no clue what she needs to do to get a nomination.
Greg Vaungh---perhaps it's the fact that he plays second fiddle to Jason, Sonny and Ric but Greg Vaungh's Lucky has become an interesting, dynamic character to watch and Vaungh has more than made the role his own and his continual snub simply irritates me because he's a very worthy actor. Even worse the fac that Jacob Young won an Emmy for this role and he is EASILY the worst actor to ever play this character.
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

Yes, that is very true. Dang cast politics. Victoria Rowelle is right the pre-nom system is simply a popularity contest.
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

I'm not giving up on Ali Sweeney just yet. It's not like there have been a lot of times where she really deserved a nod and didn't get it. But she actually has a few very strong tapes this year, too, and I don't think being pregnant or being the host of a fairly popular reality show are going to hurt her chances any.
Kristian Alfonso, I believe, is another actor who was nominated once a long time ago, and not again since. She's certainly been snubbed in the past, but I don't think the snubs were as blatant as some others (Deidre Hall, Kirsten Storms, e.g.) who clearly are battling something beyond just the competition.
