From Scott Novick's B&B board, Flannery stated in an interview that if Bell wins at the Emmys, he'll retire.

Well if it takes an Emmy for him to do that than whatever.

The thing is that up until June of last yr. B&B have been decent, but now it's barley watchable.

If Brad was to retire he needs to find an EP not named Ellen Wheeler and not let Kay Alden b/c HW.

If this is true than all I have to say is leave the show in capable hands Brad!

There's no doubt in my mine Brad should win his Emmy this year. His eppys were by far the best of the bunch.

If this is true, then i would bet, waiting in the wings, is Ed Scott, who will take over the reigns of B&B. The only 2 people i want to see as EP of B&B is Scott and David Shaughnessy.

As for writing duties, if they can get John Smith to help Kay Alden write this show, i could see a major turn-a-round for this piece of garbage. But Kay can't do it alone. John can, but not Kay.

B&B was and is godawful. The show has not been "good" for five+ years. Based on emmy submissions, B&B should win writing and show- but it will go down as the most undeserved emmy win EVER (meaning for the year of 2008, not for those specific episodes which were strong).

I really don't know how anyone watches it anymore.

Its every soap cliche imaginable with the WORST acting and dialogue in daytime.

He needs to retire.
