She was brilliant and I have to say one of the best criers in Daytime. She and Days could've gone really extreme w/this but her acting and the writing play the beats to this storyline in a realistic way. The scene that got me was when Sami and Rafe were looking at a dead baby Grace in the crib and just holding each other. Absolutley amazing stuff. Hopefully the "voters" will remember this next yr. and finally reward Alison w/her 1st Emmy nomination.
Honorable Mentions: Chris Egen (Adam, Y&R), Galen Gerig (Rafe, Days), Mark Lawson (Brody, OLTL), Bree Williamson (Jessica, OLTL), & Arianne Zuker (Nicole, Days)
My POW for this past wk is once again Alison Sweeney (Sami, Days). Her scenes leading up to and at the funneral were great. My favorite scenes were at the funneral were she had a very controlled performance. When she was just crying and then brokedown at an of pitch redetion of Amazing Grace, I got misty.
I stopped watching Days a long time ago. I'm starting to wish I hadn't. My favorite was Robin Strasser. She was hysterical all week long. Her and Underwood make a stellar mother-daughter team.
My POW for this past wk. is Chris Engen (ex-Adam, Y&R). When Adam found out he was permanantly blind due to what he did to himself was amazing to watch and his breakdown in Ashley's arms was amazing and even had more meaning due to that being his last day.
Honorable Mention: Florencia Lozano (Tea, OLTL)
Dishonorable Mentions: Jamie Luner (Liza, AMC) for those scenes on todays episode. Just bad. And to the guy who plays Markko's dad on OLTL. Cliche dialogue & bad acting.

It's not like me to compliment GH, but one think they have been doing right lately is the increased screentime for Nancy Lee Grahn. And this week she finally had scenes that had nothing to do with Nikolas and Rebecca. I enjoyed Sonny and Claudia scenes for the 1st time ever because of Grahn. Having the mayor reveal his affair with Alexis right in front of Kristina was just plain stupid, but NLG's reaction shots were great.
Performer of the week: Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) GH
Runner Up: The actress who plays Destiny Evans on OLTL.
There are so many choices for me but Maurice Benard, and Drew Garrett were fabulous in scenes Thursday and Friday. While I can't bear to watch GH with all the mob stuff daily, when I turned to GH they sucked me in. I can't wait til Michael moves in with the Q'S.
Also, have to say loved the performances by Tricia Cast, and Stacy Haiduk on Y&R. Haiduk has grown on me and I am starting to enjoy her so much.

POW (tie): Tricia Cast (Nina, Y&R) & Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R) Both women did an amazing job w/the material they were given. Cast blew me away when she finally got Cane to admit the truth and Stafford broke my heart w/the stuff dealing w/Summer.

POW: Daniel Goddard (Cane, Y&R) I have never thought of him from an acting standpt. of being good, but this wk he did what the actor who played the original could not do. I felt for Cane and the way Daniel played those scenes of him being exposed were really great to watch.
Dishonorable mentions: Thom Bierdz (Phillip, Y&R) and pulling a DC I am going to have a box that I am going to check... called the "Terrible 4 from OLTL" which includes Farah Fath, Crystal Hunt, JPL, & David Piñon.

I'm still not completely sold on the Mayor's murder mystery storyline, but anything that gives me more Diane and Alexis scenes makes me happy. They're the only pairing I actually care about on that show.
Performer of the week Carolyn Hennesy (Diane, GH) She's hysterical and they need to double her screentime ASAP.
HM: Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis, GH), Martha Byrne (Andrea, GH), Scott Clifton (Schuyler, OLTL) and Shenell Edmonds (Destiny, OLTL).
POW: Maura West (Carly, ATWT) Now this is the Maura I do not find overated. She has been doing strong work during this storyline and now she has some better tapes, the ones she has in March are good, but this is better, she could challege Crystal Chappell, Michelle Stafford and Alison Sweeney with. The look she gives to her family before she leaves for the rehab was great.
