after all this time, finally brown is in your top three wastes of talent. and i know that bi all right.

but there is nothing watchable about the corinthos' on gh nor sonny/johnny/olivia. and llc is top five actress? uh-uh. and lastly, doug davidson shouldnt be an improved actor, and i hope that improvement ranking did not mean 1 is better than 2. fumero is not davidson. dd has already proved himself a long time ago.

Davidson had less to improve than Fumero which is why Fumero is no. 1.

This is probably my favorite Soapgeist yet, thanks to the much-deserved DAYS love-fest and the campaign to save OLTL. Also loved the not-so-blind item.

Doug Davidson had nothing to improve on, Nel. He has always been one of Y&R's unsung heroes. He has always been a great actor stuck in a very boring role. but you can blame this on the many so called "writers" on this show who have never been able to utilize his talents by writing a great story for him.

If Doug and Beth Maitland aren't nominated next year for their work these past few weeks, then, once again, another terrible injustice has been done over at the "ass kissing soap" known as Y&R!

I agree Mark. Doug has been if anything shamefully underatted for yrs.

And as for that not so secret blind item, loved!

Still waiting for Ms. Lexi Ainsworth to debut on the younger actors to watch. I like the kid that plays Jack on OLTL, but she deserves that mention more. Her heartbreaking scenes opposite Maurice Bernard made her a contender for the 2010 Emmy race.

Some people, if they don't know, you can't tell 'em.

Nelson, it's time to put down the booze. Cool I've been watching James Scott's terrible, awkward performances in the last week. Arianne Zuker out-acted him even when she didn't have any lines. Have our standards dropped so low that that is what constitutes "nailing" it?

As for the rest, glad to see you continuing the campaign to save OLTL. Is Anne Sweeney Brian Frons's boss? If she is, I'd recommend mailing her itemized lists of reasons why Frons needs to be fired. (Try to keep them under 1500 pages.) ABC Daytime rots from the head. If we want Pratt gone, and Guza for that matter, we need to get rid of the idiot keeping them around.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."

"SOAP OPERA MYSTERY HOUR: The weekend’s hottest not-so-blind item
—Which AMC actor has made the cast thrilled with his decision not to move to L.A.? “He’s a pompous and arrogant jerk,” says a co-star. “We’re all thrilled he’s not making the move.” The actor is also reportedly responsible for getting James Scott and Julie Pinson fired from their AMC and Port Charles roles, respectively. If you can’t guess who this actor is then I’ll have no choice but to revoke your soap fan membership."

Clearly this is about Thorsten Kaye right?

Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

Long been James Scott fan; he got me watching AMC and I left when he did and returned to DOOL simply for him

I adored his performance but I hate that soap writers have males grab woman's throats when they are angry all time. I don't think no matter how angry a male is grabbing a woman's throat is correct.

James Scott is crazy hot. He's one of the better actors in daytime though I don't think he's as consistent as AZ and AS. Someone needs to bring the eye candy though and he does that in spades!

TK is so obviously the blind item that I am blinded by its obviousness.

I knew about Kaye/Scott but had no idea about Kaye/Julie Pinson. Can someone catch me up?

How awful of TK to do that! Since we're talking OLTL tactics to survive the chopping block, would OLTL lure TK back to whatever role he played there? If TK gets a lot of support from Frons (Nelson broke the news that Frons thinks TK and Minshew are the centers of AMC), would he help with OLTL not getting the ax?

I disagree about Doug Davidson. I'm not following any of the soaps anymore, but when I watched a rather recent youtube clip of MJ/Patty revealing herself to Paul thru singing a nursery rhyme, I thought Davidson was awful in that scene even if many were raving about it.

Nel, I like the William Devane suggestion for Tucker. How about the actor that played the patriarch in Titans? He's really sexy. Or how about Gordon Thompson so someone can bring an accent to Y&R? The girl that plays Jana doesn't count.

Nel, I disagree about Bill/Katie since I think they're killing the show. Lump them together with Steffy, Jackie, Owen, Ridge and Donna as awful actors hogging the airtime and running the show to the ground.

What has Hunter Tylo done or uttered to you Nel? You have been after her since the Emmys. I get that you don't like her acting, and we're all entitled to our opinions, but I don't think you should attack her looks. Then again, it is your column so you do exercise carte blanche.

They aren't married. He has 3 kids with her.

He has an age, ego needs to be center of attention issues.

^^If you are referring to Kaye and Haskell, they just have two daughters together.
