Nelson, why do I agree with nearly all of your opinions except your championing of MM? It's seems to me your letting your politics get in the way of your artistic judgment. No way in hell does MM's obviously creepy psycho make his co-stars look good. CE was wrong to quit if indeed he did so because of the Ram story. Still while he was there, it was easy to understand why Heather took him back and why Ashley trusted him and bought the story that her fall down the stairs was a dream. He also looked decidely younger than Nick and Victoria. MM looks the same age or older. Since CE won't ever return as Adam how about someone like Jeff Branson as Adam? He's the right age, looks a bit like EB and managed to get viewers to feel for crazy Jonathan on AMC. Plus he's hot. I probably would have liked MM on another show playing a Henry Coleman or Scott Baldwin type. He's all wrong for Adam though.

I did not care for Engen as I thought he hit the same notes. Until the brouhaha hit, I wouldn't have been able to pick him out of a line-up. He made no impression on me. As for Muhney, I disliked him on VERONICA MARS. I was not happy to see him coming to YR. He's done an admirable job, and I do think he's a good actor, but the whole Adam/Rafe stuff was so offensive to me on so many levels that I have no interest in the character. Ashley's gaslighting was an insult to Davidson who turned in some of her worst performances. Now, Adam is going to be paired with Sharon? A sociopath and a character I can't stand. That'll get me to watch.
I realise he can't say a lot, but I wonder if he truly knows how offensive the "gay" storyline was. It might be cool to play someone who'd sleep with a man to get what he wants, but the execution of the storyline was insulting to many viewers. A metaphorical shower? Come on!!! That storyline was so homophobic that all they needed was to hire the Phelps to wave around their placards. He's either disingenuous because he wants to keep his job or he's clueless. I'm not sure what's worse. If I were as passionate about gay rights as he seems to indicate, as an actor, I would have a hard time excusing what TPTB at YR did this summer. I know a job is a job, but what message did he participate in sending to the viewers about gay men? Appalling.
Crystal, even though I don't care for MM's acting I think actors are stuck. If they object to a story for whatever reason they are considered difficult. If they go along with every story blindly they risk supporting some offensive stuff. They really can't win. The only people who should be blamed for the sexist and homophobic stories are the writers. It's very disturbing and sad that TIIC are in an LA bubble and don't understand the real challenges faced by gays in the country as a whole. When Maine rejects gay marriage you know we have a long way to go. Characters like Bianca on AMC help people understand and accept homosexuality as an authentic orientation. When Y&R presents PTurd as gay after we remember him being straight and then have Adam choosing to be gay for a silly plot, it does not help the gays at all. Did any of you see the hate and nastiness on the CBS board? By associating homosexuality with a deadbeat dad and a psycho, MAB really missed an opportunity to educate and enlighten conservative viewers. Not to mention the fact that MM made YG look like a child -- even the show acknowledged this. Why oh why didn't Y&R do the Bianca Luke thing and make Noah or Abby gay? Even better why not make Chance a gay military hero and tackle don't ask don't tell? Y&R's gay stories were epic fail all around.
Muhney strikes me as gay. More elaborately, as a gay guy who'd flip flop thanks to his versatility in the sack.
Psycho eyes Muhney and Cameron crazy eyes Mathison (circa his days hosting that Canadian beauty pageant in a mall makeover show with Debbie Matenopolous) should hook up and make a sex tape. That would be great!

Nelson's caption to Muhney's pic is brilliantly referring to Muhney's equipment. That's classic Nelson Branco. Bevy of talents (i.e. not puny penis) Great clue Nelson! LOL!
I like both potrayals of Adam and I like Mike whole perspective of his job. Yes we fans think the whole storyline his past summer was **** poor, but he sees it as an opportunity to continue his acting journey and do what actors are really supose to do at the end of the day. ACT!
