Since there has been buzz the Y&R is looking to recast a major role and given the fact that we haven't seen Colleen in a cool minute I am thinking it is her. Hopefully Maria will try to tap into Daytime talent that have not worked in a while. After she was undeservley fired from GH I would think Lindze Letherman (ex-Georgie) would make an excellent recast Colleen. Sure Tammin has improved since her intial run, but lets get real Brad & Traci did not have an Australian baby. And I think Lindze can go down the line of her former ABCD perfomers, like Liz Hendrickson, Stacy Haiduk, & Billy Miller, and thrive in a role that will have good writing.
Discuss.

But i don't see Colleen as a MAJOR character on this show. She is recurring, at best. I'm thinking the recast of a major character was something the cast dept. of Y&R sent out when it looked like Melody Thomas Scott was going to bolt. Probably a scare tactic, too.
Maybe the recast will be in the form of Gina Tognoni, who just quit GL. Maybe she will be the next Colleen (though she is a little old for the role). I just hope she doesn't take over the role of Victoria ( i still have hopes for Heather Tom reprising her Emmy award winning character), even despite what Nelson said.
I've warmed up to Tammin Sursok as well, and Colleen would hardly be at the top of my list of characters to recast. But Lindze Letherman would be an interesting choice. I'd enjoy seeing what she does with that part.
When her two day arc (lol) on World Turns ends and if they are ever wanting to recast the chracter and if she's in LA, Alexandra Chando (Maddie) is another actress I can see as Colleen.

Originally posted by ad-girl: Queen MAB strikes again. We're stuck with screechy Amber 4-ever but legacy characters like Colleen are shown the door. Nice.
There is no reason for Amber to be on the show. She serves no purpose. If the show needs to tighten its belt, it needs to get rid of the superfluous characters. After the rape debacle, I'd prefer to see Amber and Deacon off the show ASAP.
BTW, whatever happened to the plot about Amber writing a book?
It's clear the current regime isn't interested in giving Colleen much of a role now, so they may as well send her off rather than recast. I wouldn't kill her, though.
Amber can take a flying leap. I was starting to like her a little during the Katherine story, but since that's been over the character's become just a nuisance to me. I liked Deacon for all of two episodes. I agree with Crystal, after this rape debacle, I'd just like them both gone.
