Stuart Damon learned an important lesson from his tenure GH: if you don't join the mob, you get written off.
Lindze Letherman, take note: all you have to do to return to the airwaves is rejoin a soap as morally bankrupt ho. Worked for Sarah Brown and Natalia Livingston.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

It's funny how some soaps that I thought would be having money issues are hiring people left and right (ATWT, DAYS), and veterans no less! Good for them, I guess.
I got a bad feeling a big axe is going to fall on a major cast member.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

DAYS is on the rise. Its ratings are steadily improving. It withstood the fallout from firing Deirdre Hall and Drake Hogestyn. They may be on a hiring kick because they want to keep up their momentum with buzzworthy casting coups.
ATWT is the opposite. It looks like it's on its way out behind the woodshed. They may be hiring big stars in the hope of injecting some last minute interest into the show, hoping to juice the ratings to stay alive a little longer. Either that or P&G figures, "What do we have to lose? We're dumping it anyway, may as well give them a longer leash with the time they have left."

and i bet that axe will be on miss hensley. she seems to have nothing these days, especially after this week when she learns hunter is her son. after that, all the men her age are taken. i hope she quits first.

and my god, if you miss the old days of daytime, just watch ATWT apparently....AMC's Dixie, AW's Paulina, OLTL's Todd, and GH's Kevin, Lucy & Alan
I wish there was a "Like" button like there is on Facebook for that post. It has made my day.
I thought Henry's father was dead, lol...but it's not like ATWT is bringing back John Dixon or anything, though...
LOL, I actually thought both of his parents were dead and that that's why the crazy sister and brother in law had Maddie living with them, but since Lynn Herring is his mother and on her way to town, I guess I thought wrong lol.

I really feel like I am watching Daytime of the 90s on ATWT now. This is kind of crazy. If only the show were better. This talent is amazing!
LOL about Damon's character being involved with the Mob. I think I actually groaned "Noooooooooooooo!". I am still not over watching the Mob stories ruin GH. Ugh.
With all these new people coming to ATWT, I'm wondering who they're getting rid of to pay for it. Am I missing something? Did a big star leave that I have forgotten about? ATWT needs to be careful because they already have a large cast and they are one of the few shows who still play their veterans, albeit in very supporting roles, but they're still around. Lucinda, Kim, Barbara, Lisa, Susan, Bob, Tom, Margo, Emma, et al. Then they have Carly, Jack, Janet, Craig, Paul, Rosana, Dusty, Meg, Casey, Emily, Allison, Hunter, Riley/Adam, Noah, Luke, Katie, Brad, Vienna, Henry, Lily, Holden, Parker, Liberty, Bonnie, etc. That seems like a lot of people to keep front and center. I certainly hope these additions improve the QUALITY of ATWT.
GIVE MERYL #3!!!!
