It's like the character never left (love her interactions w/Nuke & Casey) and she and this Casey have chemistry. Hopefully they will be paired back together and this actress is a keeper.

Completely agree. These arrogant producers think actors are interchangeable, and they are not. Viewers grow attached to these performers, and it's difficult to feel the same way about a new actor/actress.
I don't like the new Jade either and I hate that they had this no nothing character end up to be her father. I guess Goutman thinking is since we have a black male on the show he can be Jade's father.

I tuned back into this show the last week, to see the new recasts. Seriously, this is what we get? Why did they write out the characters in the first place and get rid of Chando and Goode? The actress playing Jade needs to get a little more sleep, or use some Prep H under the eyes. Those bags are big enough to carry groceries. The real miscast here is with Maddie. Chando was perfect in the role and letting her go was just one of the many mistakes this show has made. Now recasting her with someone not nearly as good is just sad. What's next, they're gonna recast Gwen and Will and bring back worse actors to fill their shoes?
And kudos to the writers for completely ruining the character of Luke. What a spineless jerk he's turned into.

The writers on this show are a piece of cake. They've chosen to ignore the fact that Maddie and Luke were actually good friends. And WTF @ the scene with Maddie saying to Noah: "So you're really gay?" And what is up with Luke being jealous of Maddie? Noah is gay, not bi! The show established that a long time ago.

The writing has been awful. Brian has shown more affection and interest in Luke than Noah has. Noah is always uncomfortable around Luke. A lot of that could just be the actor who always behaves as if he's the before guy in a constipation commercial. Luke was paralyzed by Noah's father, and he still can't get any action a year later. At his point, I would love for Luke to ditch Noah, and find Kevin or the character who was in cahoots with Casey. I believe Morris was the actor's last name.

Eric William Morris. He played Matt. I hope he comes back. I thought he was a terrific actor. If he does, I'll look for it on Youtube cause this show is a hot mess and I regret tuning back in this week.

Thank you for the name. He was a terrific actor, and there were rumors that they were going to pair him with Luke. I wish they'd bring him back. They recast all the roles with lesser actors, but let the good ones go, and Morris could not have been expensive. I also like your Youtube idea because this show is just in awful shape. It's as if Van Hansis has decided that he's on his own spin-off show because the Brian and Luke scenes have been engrossing.

Thank you for being the one to mention those bags. I know its not nice to say but they are terrible. That girl is too young to have bags like that. I also agree Chando was the perfect Maddie. I am a bit behind on watching ATWT so I havent seen much of NuMaddie yet.
For those wondering about Eric William Morris...he is coming back, not sure when but I do believe it was confirmed somewhere.
kelly hensley is immensely popular on youtube and those posters are having none of casey/ali. its sad that kmh has been off two whole weeks. when was the last time that happened unless she was on maternity leave? it goes back to early 04.
i'm wondering if she'll be paired with matt as a means to get casey's attention. it would be better than having him around a much worse talent in marnie schullenberg. who cares about casey/alison/jade/matt quadrangle over a casey/emily/matt triangle? i admit i was against casem because he's a core character whose father she made a child with. but matt would be perfect for her.
i'm sure jon and kelly have been having quite enough time lately to make another one. usually when its quiet with kmh, she ends up pregnant.
but these recent recasts has her(marnie) acting circles around them. lucy and maddie of recent.
well em's finally back and kmh hasnt done anything to that hairdo and is still getting rejected by dusty. someone said on another board that the writers may have no purpose for her character anymore. with cbs slashing their paying fees, kmh may be on suicide watch at atwt.
It so sad that no one has commented on ATWT in so long!
Anyway, I've complained so much about the show I feel I have to comment when there's something going on that I like, so here goes...
I love the Nu-Craig! His chemistry with Maura West has been terrific (of course who doesn't have great chemistry with this wonderful actress!). His needling of Jack has been so much fun to watch & the fact that the writers have brought him back to being human & are allowing him to be the voice of reason, is a lot of fun to watch. (I also love watching Michael Parks play an angry Jack!)
I also have to reinterate one of my strongest beliefs, Jack & Carly together--BORING!!! Jack & Carly at each others throats--FUN, FUNNY, HEARTBREAKING & WONDERFUL!! Sorry Carjackers, I would rather watch the complexities of their relationship as separated parents then have to watch the writers try to break them up for the millionth time.
I also have to say: Crazy Paul, thumbs up! I actually am enjoying Roger Howarth now that they have him fed up with Meg (ugh Meg!) & I much prefer his sick relationship with Emily than watching him pine for Meg.
Yesterdays episode was one of the best in a long, long time!
Has the show turned a corner? Sadly, no. Meg & Dusty just bore me to tears. Nuke becoming the "Gay Crusaders", not interesting. It was bad enough when they were working out their Hardy Boys fixation, if I have to watch them running around outing homophobes, I'm seriously going to lose it! Katie, Brad, Henry & Vienna's story looks like it's heading down a path I am not going to enjoy at all! Four of my favorite characters dumped in the middle of a child custody case? Not good! Henry & Vienna should sell the diner & the writers should get Henry, Katie & Brad back to WOAK pronto & use Kathryn Hayes more! This isn't rocket science people!
Anyway, while the show is eons away from it's glory days (& where Y&R is right now). At least there's a couple of stories I'm not FFing through!
