I don't think Sarah Brown or Jason Cook should count as casting for Mark Teschner. I know both of them were given the roles. Jason Cook talked about Frons offering him the opportunity to join either OLTL or GH, it is painfully obvious that Matt is forced on them and was created for no other reason then the fact the Cook chose GH, if he had chosen OLTL we never would of had the role of Matt.
WOW Susan Flannery was nominated for THAT? She does absolutley nothing in that episode. Her monologue is like 90 seconds.
I think Egan is quite good in her episode, but Minshew is just mediocre and the writing is terrible. She is on every day but they never give her any good material and she is rarely able to rise above the poor material.
Flannery's clips are okay, but they are nothing special. If it were another actress giving the same performance, she would not have been nominated. People are blinded by the name Flannery.

Speak the truth and shame the devil! I couldn't agree more. It's almost like Pavlov's dog with Flannery's name and emmy nominations.

Allan that's exactly what it's become a friggin popularity contest. I fully expect Cooper to win her second competive emmy. I'm just hoping that Gina Tognoni and Laura Wright pull a Carrie on Cooper when she steps up to the podium to accept # 2. Heck I'll even spring for the pig's blood...ooops, that comment will cost me, I'll be suspended from the site
...however, I will add that if Coopdeville does win, at least this time she partially earned it, she was indeed a lead actress last year. AND she, along with OLTL babe Bree Williamson, were the two hardest working women in showbusiness in 2008.

And from his CBS.com interview Bryton McClure revealed that he submitted the Dec. 1 episode where he lashes out at the social worker for taking Ana away and I think he could easily win again b/c this tape is the best one he has ever submitted!
