And speaking of potential Days winners, has anyone found Peter's reel. I have been searching high and low for it and I can't find it. Same for Cornelius Smith Jr. for Younger Actors.
When I get to see those tapes I'll be able to finish up my actors analysis.

If I was voting, there is no doubt in my mind who was the best among the five Supporting Actress nominees.
I wonder if the academy is ready to award DAYS OF OUR LIVES with their first acting emmy win since 1988 (over 20 years).
I wonder who would recieve more support between Williamson or Braun. Braun has support from AMC/GH & DAYS...I cannot see where Williamson is getting the same amount.
Tamara Braun is the better actress, but, Bree Williamson submitted a better tape. Braun's was good, but Williamson's was better.
See I don't see it that way at all. Braun is the better actress AND had the better tape.
If the win is based on talent and on the actual tape, Braun should be walking away with her first emmy and DAYS with its first acting win since 1988!
If you feel that way, you feel that way. I disagree with you; but, that's your opinion. There's nothing I can do about it. I think that Bree Williamson has a better chance of winning, based on the circumstances of the tape. What could give Braun the edge is her having so many friends on these soap operas. One thing we have to realize is that DAYS hasn't won an acting award in over twenty years. Having said that, OLTL, other than Erika Slezak, hasn't won an acting award since 1994. It could be possible that neither one of them wins. If neither one of them wins, I'm going with Melissa Claire Egan winning the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Emmy Award. I don't see Alicia Minshew winning, for the silly reason is that many feel that she's not a supporting actress. I don't see Julie Pinson winning, because even though she has many friends on these soap operas, I'm not trying to be mean, but she has the weakest tape.
I am looking at the DVDs of the Lead Actress reels right now. The one for Debbi Morgan says its airdate is 7/4/08. On the first page of this thread, it says Morgan's reel is 2/18/08.
I haven't watched the DVD yet, so I can't say for sure. But, any chance this is actually 7/4/08? Episode # says 9811.
Edited to add: Nope, I watched it. It is the 2/18/08 tape. Weird that it says 7/4/08.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

It lists October 2, 2008 as AMC Series submission and that Babe is near death but that came later in the month. The directing submission was October 17, 2008 and she is very much alive and the tornado is just hitting.

With this new Emmy system, it's all about who kissed the most ass in the industry. Most of the winners rarely have won on talent alone.
but the winners werent determined by the most votes for the nod when four of those five won. i'm sure benard/geary did split the vote in 03, and i think that doug davidson got the most votes that year along with mcclaine for supporting that year. but thats me.
