I have recently started watching Gilmore Girls and have noticed alot of similarites between it an The Guiding Light.

They are both primarily set in small towns

They feature an ensemble of actors who all intertwine with one another

They Feature single camera shooting styles over traditional methods

My question is why can the camerman and directors of Gilmore Girls successfuly maneuver around these tight sets and make it seem natural while the GL ones can not.

I have to ask... is GL even trying to learn?

I love this show and still watch it. I have hope for a return to the heart of the Show. More Blake and more of the traditional characters. We can solve this by getting rid of any character who miraculously aged from 4 to 20 overnight.

Get Phillip back and Cady McLain to play Harley. My god can you imagine these two on screen together.

Get rid of ava

get rid of ava

get rid of ava

Focus more on the Buzz and Lillian Romance.

Bring Beth Back to Allan

Continue donw the path of bringing the Lewis family back together. Is Jordan Clarke on this show anymore?

Bring back Mindy.

Deliver us intriguing stories like Reva driving off a bridge or the springfield blackout.

These are the stories GL was built on. This show can be intimate and smooth but it can not rely on it like Ellen Wheeler wants it too.

This show needs one hell of a story line right now. Not Reva's movie, Not Jeffrey getting shot and not GRADDY!!!!!!

Give me back my GL I love! Give me back my Maureen, my Ross, my Nadine

Give me back the 90's!

.....I couldn't agree more, though Ross, Maureen and Nadine were all characters the writers killed off. Ross and Maureen were catastrophic errors and Nadine was great in her own right. Jerry Ver Dorn and Ellen Parker were Emmy winners and Jean Carol a nominee...just goes to show how writers and powers that be can decimate a once-great show. Still my all-time favorite soap but a very pale comparison of what it used to be.
