Since late April this show has been one of the best in daytime & their best yr. ever. Texas Battle, William deVry, Patrick Duffy, Jennifer Garies, Katherine Kelly Lang, & Heather Tom as the Logan family has been family drama at its finest. It can only get better IMO.

Yep, B&B has been the Best Soap thus far in 2008. I really do believe Kay Alden had a hand in turning this show around.
Besides the incredible acting, the dialogue has been brilliant, as has the directing. Storm's suicide episode alone has Emmy written all over it.
Now i'm anxious to see where the show goes with Donna's long lost son appearing. I'm also anticipating the shared bond between Stephanie and Katie. Their scenes together are a writer's dream, and when you have 2 Emmy winning actresses sharing scenes together, it's magic.
My only gripe (still) is the lack of gay characters on this show. I know it's only a 30 minute show, but come on people. After 21 years on the air, for a show that's set in the fashion industry, there needs to be at least 2 gay characters on this show.
It's ironic, because Brad Bell has introduced hispanic characters, black characters, and a character who is HIV positive (but heterosexual). He just can't seem to cross the gay line.
The year is all about "This is where Storm lives now. This is what he looks like."
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

Brandon Beemer's character, Owen Hart, will be tied to Marcus. I suspect he'll be paired up with Donna, causing friction between Marcus and Owen. However, I think it would be hot if Owen and Marcus hooked up! But knowing Brad Bell, that won't be happening!
Now i'm wondering if Brandon Beemer's Owen will turn out to be Donna's son. Donna "Hogan" could have been with 2 guys around the time she got pregnant.
This would be an interesting plot twist....Donna would be drawn to this hot lookin dark haired guy, only for him to turn out to be her son.
It's very Brad Bell...his stories tend to be on the incestuous side.
Did it bother anybody else how many times people said, "Katie's body is rejecting her heart," or Katie said, "My body is rejecting my heart," last week? After what a big deal Storm's suicide was, it seems lazy for character to keep referring to it that way.
Also, I like Steffy. She and Marcus seem to have decent chemistry together, though Steffy kind of strikes me as a lesbian.
It rang a little false to me when Stephanie and Katie said they loved each other yesterday. Does Katie really love Stephanie, a woman who less than a year ago played a part in Brooke's rape, a woman who less than six months ago was blackmailing the entire Logan family over knowledge of Storm and the shooting. All of the sudden, a few kind words and they love each other. I understand that facing death will make you let go of some stuff, and that Katie has had an easier relationship with Stephanie than her sisters, but love?
Why in the world is Donna keeping Marcus a secret from Eric? With the long-lost children, incest issues and whatnot with the Forresters, Eric should hardly be surprised when he finds out about Donna's love child!

Agreed. It was, on the one hand, touching to see so many people really coming together and pulling to help Katie out, but on the other hand it seemed a little overboard. Everyone on the show seemed to be doing such a huge thing to help or so very concerned, even Felicia, who seems to hate people in general.
On another note, the Forrester kids are really starting to act like villagers with torches ready to burn Donna at the stake. Thorne turned on Marcus on a dime after finding out he was brought in by Donna. The way Ridge, Felicia, and Thorne are carrying on is just so ugly!
even Felicia, who seems to hate people in general.
LOL. That's true.

While I'm thinking about it, I just wanted to say that while I don't really have a problem with Robin Riker as Beth Logan, and ridiculous ages for parents doesn't normally bother me, I don't think this will work well with her as Brooke's mother. Beth now actually looks younger than Brooke! I can buy it with Katie or Donna, but I worry that when she and Brooke are together in scenes, and Brooke is calling her mom, it's just going to look ridiculous.
(Not that I'm criticizing KKL at all. I know she's a beautiful woman.)

Alright, I have to call on B&B today: Its been almost a year since Brooke was raped; are we really supposed to believe that in that time, not one person in the entire Logan family mentioned that to Beth?
A couple of different B&B spoilers say that in the upcoming weeks, Felicia and Eric worry about Stephanie's depression. I wonder if this means Susan Flannery is going to get a depression storyline, or if it doesn't really mean anything at all.
With Flannery's retirement coming up in the next year or so, I'd like to see Stephanie get one last great storyline. Could this be it?

Sounds more like nothing than something to me, just a manufactured reason to have Felicia and Stephanie on the show that week. Life's hard for Emmy-winning actresses in L.A. these days!
My "Are you kidding!?" moment of the week was when Stephen said Nick was "a very determined young man." I don't know if that was an attempt to make Nick not seem too old for Bridget and Katie, or just something they threw in. Either way, it sounded ridiculous.
OK.....Robin Riker as Beth just isn't cutting it for me.....too stiff and "mannequin" like in her scenes.
And i'm starting to agree with Nelson on Heather Tom, who i adore, but too much Katie is making me ill. She has been in our face 24/7 since Storm died. Enough already! I'm beginning to hope that Katie drops dead soon just so we can get a break from the "Katie Logan Show."
More Flannery, please!
And Jack Wagner needs a buzz cut and a shave. He looks like a homeless Sasquatch with all that hair.
