I wouldn't mind all the Katie we've been getting if Nick wasn't in there too. The Katie/Nick combo is terrible. Plus, I've been off the Jack Wagner as Nick bandwagon for a long time. One of my top most annoying characters in Daytime.

I see potential in Robin Riker as Beth so I'm not giving up on her yet. Although, I still don't know why its not Jackie Zeman playing the role, but what can you do?

I agree with Mark, more Flannery and fast. We all know how fast time goes and before we know it, Flannery's retirement will be here. I want to see her utilized to her fullest capacity while we still have the chance.

Given the nature of Beth's general attitude towards her family and all, I think the stiffness is working in her favor. She almost seems like a Stepford wife.

But yes, Nick DOES need a haircut.

I'm glad the show keeps bringing up how incestuous things are. There are a ridiculous number of people who've been involved with someone and that someone's parent.

OK...what was up with B&B today and all of the fast paced exterior shots??

I kind of liked it. It's very LA..and i love the rooftop shots of Forrester Creations.

It's about time the show usues its sunny locale to its advantage.

As long as they don't go all "Guiding Light" on us with those crazy, hand held camera shots.

On a separate note, FINALLY some great acting from Robin Riker. This was her "coming out" episode i've been waiting for. gReat job!

I think Riker is OK as Beth. I'm trying hard to find the good in her /bc I know she can do it but its not resonating w/me. I wished they went w/Julia Barr as Beth. Now that would have made my yr.

I pretty much agree with you east/west about Riker. I'm not thrilled about her, but I wouldn't fire her or anything either.

I love that B&B didn't wait months and months to update their opening credits, but a couple of things about the new ones bothered me, specifically how Felicia and Thorne are now at the end of the lineup (along with Jackie), and how Ashley's been removed altogether! That can't be pleasant for poor Eileen Davidson. And it's not like they were getting bumped for core cast members, they've been bumped for Owen, Steffy, Marcus, and Beth, actors who have only been on the show a few weeks or in the case of Owen, one day!

Is Susan Flannery getting a depression storyline?

What luck for rulers that men do not think.

Haven't read anything on that, MTSRocks, but i sure hope she gets ANY story at this point.

Daytime's best actress is being wasted away. If anything, THIS is the time Brad Bell should be throwing Flannery and her immense talent in our faces since she is "THIS CLOSE" to retirement.

I want to see her get the best story of her career before she departs B&B, and one final Emmy to boot.

Yes, they really should be using her more. Right now, all the show is doing is showing viewers how lackluster things are without her. Unfortunately, I don't think they're giving her a depression story or any story. At first it seemed that way, but since we didn't even see Eric's conversation with her when he went over to see her (unless I missed it somehow), it's pretty clear that it was just about getting Donna alone with Owen and making Felicia even more p*ssed off than she usually is.

And I must say, this rushed wedding for Nick and Bridget is kind of ridiculous, not to mention how twisted it is that Bridget wants Katie to perform the ceremony. The only thing I did like about the wedding so far was how obviously unhappy people were to see Rick and Taylor. I find it kind of hilarious.

Today's episode of B&B was the best in awhile. The scenes where Brooke and Ridge were trying to convince Eric to give them the company were very good. Even Ronn Moss was passable, which is rarity. Also, I think Brad Bell would be a fool not to pair Lesli Kay and Brandon Beemer together in a love/hate relationship story. Anything to get Kay something that even remotely resembles a story.

It was a nice break from the boring Nick/Bridget/Katie crap.

Stephanie's not in prison. She moved out of the mansion when Eric married Donna, and now lives in Bridget's old beach house. She is depressed and Eric often references stopping by to cheer her up. She's been onscreen a couple of times recently, but not much.

I feel like they're trying to make Brooke the new matriarch, the new Stephanie, and it's just not working for me. It was so hypocritical of her to want to get Donna out for bringing scandal to the company, which was exactly Stephanie's logic against Brooke for all those years. But then Brooke has always been a hypocrite (see: her reaction to Taylor & Rick!).

LOL. I totally agree. Today's B&B was a train wreck, and if I didn't believe Nelson that Heather Tom and Jack Wagner were writing this show before, I certainly believe it now. Tom is a gifted actress, one of the medium's best, but her scenes in today's episode screamed Indulgent Actress. All that over-the-top self-pity. I don't deserve to live! Everything I touch dies! My God, why have you forsaken me!? It seemed designed for her to EMOTE like she's remaking "Sophie's Choice," but nobody told her that all that "I want to die!!" talk is laughably excessive during a pregnancy storyline.

The writing was terrible, but what's sad is that Heather Tom was actually pretty bad also. Maybe she's also directing herself in addition to her apparent writing duties, which would explain why she overacted so shamelessly.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."

I disagree.
Sure we all hate this Katie & Nick proping, but I think Tom is really doing a gret job w/the material she is giving herself (even thought the dialogue is eyerolling at best). The conviction she has really make those scenes work.

Those underwater scenes were some of the most laughable and ridiculous scenes I have ever seen on Daytime. Whoever wrote that should never be allowed to pick up a pen ever again.

Were we watching "The Bold and the Beautiful" today or "The Little Mermaid?"

The only saving grace today was seeing William DeVry wet and shirtless.....

YUM!

Today's B&B was such a joke. Not even Tom could elevate that laughable schlock! What is happening to this show??? Flannery to the set - STAT!

However, William DeVry in the flesh - yowza!!!
