They say that soap fans love a good villain. For more than two decades, B&B viewers have often loved to hate Stephanie Forrester, played by multiple Emmy winner Susan Flannery. Instead of rooting against her, this week fans may actually be rooting for her.
In what is being called must-see television for fans, The Bold and the Beautiful will air a can't-miss episode this Friday that may change the way that viewers look at Stephanie Forrester. In fact, the show has playfully put together "Team Stephanie" t-shirts that it provided to members of the media.
"Stephanie Forrester has spent the past 23 years being hateful, depraved, and manipulative to just about everyone who has crossed her path," the show said in a press release. "So, why in the world would anybody root for her? Tune in on Friday, October 16 to find out.
Indeed, Stephanie's rap sheet reads like a crime novel. She's faked a heart attack, pushed someone off of balconies, helped to covered up a couple of deaths, and held a few guns on people who've crossed her.
In spite of all her shenanigans, Stephanie remains one of the most popular characters on The Bold and the Beautiful. This is evidenced by the character's nine consecutive nominations in the "Favorite Character" category of soapcentral.com Dankie Awards.
Susan Flannery originated the role of Stephanie in the premiere episode of The Bold and the Beautiful in March 1987. During her 22-year run on the CBS soap, Flannery has earned three Daytime Emmy wins in the Outstanding Lead Actress category. She's also received an additional four nominations in the same category.
So exactly what goes down in Los Angeles to make folks soften towards the Forrester family matriarch? You'll have to tune in to see this Friday, October 16.
They do this repeatedly. They have Steph dancing on the rim of the volcano that is irredeemability, then they make her "sympathetic" again.
She lies to eric for years about Ridge's paternity, so she wins back FC for him.
She fakes her heart attack to break Ridge and Brooke up, so she secretly brings Felicia back to life and even vows to kill herself should Felicia need a donor.
Brooke gets raped thanks to Steph's involvement with Andy, so Steph gets shot.
The Bill Sr. will was so lame making Bill Jr.'s FC takeover abouyt Steph. Terrible rewrite since Bill used her to try to takeover FC the first time. If his intention was to rid FC of Eric, Brooke and Donna to avenge Steph, he should have told her that when he first laid claim to FC with her help. Terrible spoilers, so thank goodness I'm not watching this crap anymore!
Jackie told the JackieM team about Stephanie's stroke, so they all (Nick, Jackie, Bridget, Pam, Owen, & Whip) went over to Taylor's dressed in Football/Cheerleader outfits to convince her she was part of their team and they needed her on "Team Stephanie". It was pretty hokey, and at times cringe-worthy, complete with the cheer "S-T-E-P-H-A-N-I-E". In the end, they convinced her not to quit and that they would help her through her recovery from the stroke because they were a team and a family.
I can't believe they would actually issue a press release calling in a "Must-See Moment". I'll be interested to see if the ratings for that episode were above average.

They seriously did that?!
It's so awful that it must be worth watching to believe it and to look at how those actors had to humiliate themselves!
B&B is the new Passions thanks to terrible writing from Brad and terrible acting from (in no particular order) Leslie Anne Downe, Brandon Beemer, Jackie Woods, Texas Battle, the guy that plays Thomas, Kyle Lowder, Jennifer Gareis, Heather Tom, Don Diamont and Ronn Moss. Heck even Jack Wagner has become awful. While they underutilize their new find in Aaron D. Spears, and they never use Alley Mills and Lesli Kay in their own storylines.

I can't believe that was it. Thanks Zack, and my apologies for making you have to relive that through synopsis. Wow. The Bell soaps need help FAST.
Since Brad Bell is a complete idiot he writes this instead of having a powerful scene where Felicia is there for Steph since Steph basically saved Felicia from the brink of death when she had Felicia's cancer secretly treated and even vowed to kill herself should Felicia not have a donor.
But Brad Bell does not want to write for Lesli Kay, or even Alley Mills for that matter. Those 2 and SF are the show's strongest actresses.
Instead there's more inanity for terrible actors like Leslie Anne Downe and Brandon Beemer to act out.
This was all shades of bad and is why this show doesn't deserve to be #2 in the ratings.
BRAD YOU GOT YOUR F****** EMMY (I AM HAPPY B/C IT WAS WELL DESERVED) START WRITING A SHOW AGAIN, B/C THIS TELONEVELA BULL CRAP IS WHY PEOPLE LOOK DOWN ON THE SOAP INDUSTRY AND IT NEEDS TO STOP.
