It says "in no particular order"

We all have our own ideas of who the best current tops are. I think there are a few who could have been left off to make it "Top 50"...but on a whole, I think it's pretty spot on.

Interesting to see Michelle Stafford has fallen off your love wagon. :-) Glad that Greg Rikaart gets your love - although he's being seriously wasted right now. I'd like to see him and Billy Abbott get it on.

Have fun @ this weekend's show. ;-)

I'm glad to see you listed Eden as the biggest waste of airtime. The character and actress are truly dreadful. I don't know WHAT the writers were thinking on this one. Clearly a case where the character looked A LOT better on paper.

Eden has the making of a great character, but they need to find a better actress to play the part.

I like the list of the Top Actos/Actress in Daytime.

FYC: 2008-2009 Award Season
The Dark Knight, Mickey Rourke, Richard Jenkins, Sally Hawkins, Kristin Scott Thomas, Heath Ledger, Michael Shannon & Viola Davis

FYC: 2009 Daytime Emmys
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series

Noelle Beck as Lily Snyder, As the World Turns (CBS)

Congrats to the 2009 Grammy Award Nominees
Adele, Coldplay, Death Cab For Cutie, Kings of Leon, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, & Pink

GO SOONERS!!!

Eden hasn't been on for a month. I'd like to give a character at least 2 months to flesh out before I judge. Sabrina, anyone?

I think she does have the making of a great character and reminds me a lot of the Nina Webster character when she first came on.

The difference between the Nina character and Eden is that a very capable actress was hired for one but not the other. east/west could be right, a recast could make all the difference.
The fact is, when Eden is on, I'm so distracted by the actresses ticks and facial movements I actually lose interest in the rest of the show. I think the young actress playing Eden is that bad...and distracting.

A decent list although some of the best actors listed gave or are giving some of their worst performances. A bit too many OLTL actors (especially Woods and Lavoisier who have been outright awful for long stretches of story this year)and I was surprised to see so few DOOL actors (Brooks and McCay should be on this list) as well as Nancy Lee Grahn not included. You can find room for an actor who comes across as bored and gay when he's meant to be in love and straight, but not for Darin Brooks who has done some truly exciting work this year? Work I might add that does not include hair acting, yelling, or dry humping a woman in a hospital bed. I adore Lisa LoCicero, but that accent is extremely annoying. I've also never understood Justin Deas's appeal on GL. If I were producing GL, and I needed to free up money, he would be the first person to go. I see you're still sticking by Beth Ehlers on AMC. The name is blinding you. Sarah Brown??? An apt comparison finally came to me. For those who watch DWTS, she is doing the acting equivalent of Mark Ballas's out of control dancing meant to camouflage Kim Kardashian's ineptitude. I don't find it interesting or a sign of talent to see an actor exhibiting that much visible exertion.

Weighing in on Eden...

I'm ALL for the character. I, for the most part, am a fan of the River storyline and think it's yet another interesting layer built off of the Gloria character.

BUT...Erin Sanders is quite possibly the worst actress to have hit daytime in the last decade. This girl makes Michelle Ray Smith, Teresa Hill, Elizabeth Hobgood, Tammin Sursok, and Mackenzie Mauzy seem like Oscar worthy talent.

I do hate being so negative on such a young actress, but it still baffles me that this girl gets work. Her auditions must be out of this world. I have faith that Paul Rauch will recast. He boasted the likes of Hayden Panettiere, Britney Snow, Tammy Blanchard, and Joie Lenz when he was at the helm of GL. We'll see if he's just collecting a pay check at this point, or if he actually will do something about this atrocity!

Nel....what can i say, my friend...you hit the nail on the head with Susan Flannery, Katherine Kelly Lang, Alley Mills and Eric Braeden. BRAVO!!!!

I would only add 3 others to that list....

Even though i'm oversaturated with her right now, Heather Tom needs to be on there from B&B. Tom will always be Victoria to me, but she is a superb actress. Brad Bell just needs to step away from the Katie Pen a while.

And from ATWT, you left off the 2 best actresses on that show, Elizabeth Hubbard and Kathleen Widdoes. I could watch those 2 all day.

Other than that, you nailed it my friend!

I will never be able to take seriously any list of best actors that doesn't include Nancy Lee Grahn. Especially since you included JPL. Really? I mean, the man relies on a ridiculous "sad face" anytime he has to emote. Not cool, Nelson. Not cool.
STill I have to admit that most of the list is pretty good. I was relieved to see David Canary and Rick Hearst.

Glaring omissions:
Eileen Davidson
Nancy Lee Grahn
Heather Tom
Peter Bergman
Joshua Morrow
Jess Walton

And since I gave six that need to be added, I give six that should have been omitted:

Peter Bartlett
James Scott
Eddie Alderson
Alicia Minshew
Lisa LoCicero (There's potential, but I need a little more time with the new character)
Ilene Kristen (I'm one of the few that has never really enjoyed Kristen portrayal of Roxy.)

Plus, at the risk of repeating myself, no Eileen Davidson?!?!?! Red Face
