Is Elizabeth Hendrickson still eligible in this category? I think it's still a shame she wasn't nominated for playing Maggie on AMC. Her best episodes were when she returned as Maggie (previously being killed off as Frankie) and exposed Vanessa (another snub, Marj Dusay) as the witch she really was.
I'm over Julie Berman...Don't get the hype about her at all. Is Kirsten Storms eligible?
Maybe, finally, Kristen Alderson can get in.
So far...
- Kirsten Storms: GH - Kristen Alderson: OLTL - Elizabeth Hendrickson: Y&R
Who else?

I think if Vail Bloom and Emily O'Brien were nominated last year, they could easily get nodded this year. I think Bloom is a sure shot. Her scenes where she confronted Adam were just as good as the scenes last year when she confronted Paul, but probably better. I think she is one of those younger actors who will get better with time and she has proven that.
While Berman seems obvious, she was omitted last year, and GH's true best younger actress is Kirsten Storms.
This should certainly be the year Kristen Alderson gets recognized with all the great OLTL buzz topped with her tremendously heart breaking performances this past year.
I also think Days will get its best shot in the "younger" categories meaning Shelly Hennig and Rachel Melvin should be contenders.
Jacqueline McInnes Woods from B&B started off good, but the dead twin scenes were way over the top and terribly acted.
So here how I think the nominations will turn out:
Kristen Alderson, One Life to Live Kirsten Storms, General Hospital Vail Bloom, The Young and the Restless Shelly Hennig, Days of Our Lives Rachel Melvin, Days of Our Lives
GIVE MERYL #3!!!!

another weak category top five(lol) 1.vail bloom,y&r 2.caitlin van zandt,gl(not her fault the show sucks) 3.rachel melvin,dool 4.julie berman,gh 5.kirsten storms,gh
there is a every other year pattern with y&r not getting nominated and if that is the case still then she wont be nominated.
the alternate nods marnie schullenberg(bloom's spot)
with how weak it is after four i cant seen van zandt left out, she is a good actress i trust her chances better than alderson's.
best actress:bloom strong case:berman upset:berman or schullenberg
im going for it. im staying with berman. i dont think bloom will get in. she was too late to turn good.
I really want one of OLTL's girls to get the trophy this year, i'm rooting for Brittany Underwood, Fara Fath, Kristen Alderson and Melissa Fumero this year.
My #1 choice is Alderson but i would be THRILLED to see Fumero win this year as well!
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

I think Emily O'Brien is worthy and she was nominated last year.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

i gotta say alderson as improved alot i used to diss her acting constantly but she's showed her chops with this baby storyline, fumero proved she could act as well. I think julie berman had some good stuff when her and johnny were hiding out in that old apartment.
