Best Supporting Actress-Sharon Case as Sharon Abbott
Sharon remembers Cassie on the third year of her death. Sharon visits the cemetary and tells Cassie what she thought her life would have been like.
I thought Sharon did some great subtle acting and I thought her emotions were perfect at the cemetary. I almost cried when she laid down on top of the grave. Definitely a strong subtle performance.

Outstanding Lead Actress: Kassie De Pavia as Blair Manning: Blair continues to explain to Todd why he must leave her and the kids at once. She is torn up when she realizes that he is taking "Sam"/"Tommy" with him.
Outstanding Younger Actress: Melissa Fumero as Adrianna Cramer-Balsom: Adrianna confronts Gigi and tries to get her to pass Rex's DNA as Brody's so Rex won't ever find out that Shane is his son.
Outstanding Lead Actress: Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord Davidson: Viki is devestated when Charlie admits he has been lying to her about Rex being his son. When charlie exits the house and Vicki leans against the wall and starts crying i just about lost it myself. This was classic Slezak tour de force work---she just about nailed herself an Emmy.
Outstanding Supporting Actor: Brian Kerwin as Charlie Banks: Charlie admits his lies to Vicki and hopes she is able to forgive him
Outstanding Younger Actress: Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning: Starr confronts Todd and tells him to leave, she explains to Jack that nobody in their family is safe around Todd.
Outstanding Writing
Outstanding Drama Series
Outstanding Younger Actress: Fara Fath as Gigi Marasco: Gigi is stunned when Adrianna asks her to keep lying to Rex about Shane being his son. Gigi is sad to see that Brody may have a drinking problem.
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

All My Children May 23, 2008 Best Drama Series Best Directing Best Supporting Actor - David Rasche as Rob Gardner
Rob kidnaps Angie, shoots Greg and Julia. Tad, Jesse, Jake, and Frankie all chase after him but he gets away with Angie in a helicopter.
Now that was an exciting episode, a little bit GHy but I'll take it. Rasche was excellent as the sadistic Rob and hopefully this story continues to get better as it goes along. The directing was top notch and I can't wait for Monday.
Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, 2008 Days of our Lives Best Actress Alison Sweeney - Sami DiMera Best Actor James Scott - EJ DiMera
Wednesday, Lucas is released to house arrest at the DiMera mansion and freaks out when he finds Sami in bed with EJ. Sami tries to get Lucas to forgive her, while EJ is saddened by Sami's flat denial that she has feelings for him. Thursday, Sami and Lucas continue to argue, and Sami stands behind her decision to make love to EJ. EJ has a heartfelt conversation with Nicole.
These episodes would make a great Emmy reel for Sweeney. She shows fantastic range as Sami goes from putting on a cold front in bed with EJ, then practically begging Lucas to forgive her, to being embarrassed at John and Marlena learning what happened and getting angry with Lucas for everything that's happened between them. Sweeney was perfect in every scene, and was back to having that fire that she had when Sami was a bitch, but now as more of a heroine. Her interactions with EJ, Lucas, Marlena, and John were all perfectly natural and great. I would have easily voted for these two episode over most if not all of this years lead actress reels. Scott is also great, going from being on top of the world after making love to Sami to meloncholy when she fervently attempts to reunite with Lucas.
May 27, 2008 The Young & the Restless Supporting Actress - Jess Walton Supporting Actor - Daniel Goodard Supporting Actress Lead Actress Jeanne Cooper
Jill and Kay argue over Phillip and Cane is sick of it.
Walton, Cooper and Goodard were fantastic today, a little of the old Y&R that harkend back to the Jill vs. Kay feuds.
May 27, 2008 All My Children Best Drama Series Best Supporting Actress - Sydney Penny
Angie and Jesse struggle with Rob in the helicopter as Jake struggles to keep Tad alive from a gunshot wound. Julia tells Krystal to tell Kathy that she loves her and then Julia flatlines.
Wonderful action packed episode, this would be an excellent submission. It was exciting and thrilling and I wouldn't even leave during the commercial breaks. And Sydney Penny certainly delivered with a knockout performance as Julia died, "Tell Kathy I love her." Now that broke my heart.

One Life To Live
Outstanding Drama Series: This was an outstanding episode! As Adrianna and Rex prepare to marry, Gigi interupts the wedding and announces she loves Rex. Adrianna punches her. Meanwhile David Vickers plays mind games with Jarred and blackmails him with the secret that he knows Jarred is not a real Buchanan. Blair reacts to Todd pushing starr down the stairs and learns that Starr is pregnant. At the last minuet Gigi is stunned to see Brody Lovett, her presumed dead Marine boyfriend alive and well.
Outstanding Writing In A Drama Series
Outstanding Younger Actress (maybe supporting--not sure about her age): Melissa Fumero as Adrianna Cramer--- MF was great as Adrianna is enraged and punches Gigi. The tender scene in which Adrianna asks Rex "do you still love me" were amazing. some of the best work she's ever done.
Outstanding Younger Actress: Fara Fath as Gigi Marasco- pure brillance. the last scene where she sees Brody is pure emmy-bait, in the best way possible.
Outstanding Supporting Actor: John Paul Lavosier as Rex Balsom: stunning, wonderful work. Rex admits to Adrianna he isn't sure how he feels about Gigi.
Outstanding Guest Actor: Tuc Watkins as David Vickers: David plays mind games with Jarred and blackmails him.
Outstanding Leading Actress: Kassie De Pavia as Blair Manning. Blair reacts to todd pushing starr down the stairs. Blair learns that starr is pregnant.
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Robin Strasser as Dr. Dorian Lord: Dorian is happy when Gigi attempts to stop the wedding and taunts Viki about someone in her life not being who they seem or claim to be.
Outstanding Younger Actress: Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning: Starr is taken to the hospital after Todd pushes her down the stairs.
outstanding direction in a drama series
outstanding costumes for a drama series---in particular the costumes for the wedding scenes were fantastic.
I'm not sure about Melissa either. I know she turns 26 this summer which is past the cut off but I don't know if they count by the episode submitted or the age of the actor when the nominations are made. I have a feeling though that she might get herself into supporting, she's been on fire lately.
I know I'm kind of late in posting this but I noticed a lot of Kristen/Kassie citing for last week, but there wasn't one for Tuesday. That was when Starr admitted she was pregnant and apologized to Blair for lying and Blair apologized for the fact that Starr didn't trust her and felt she wasn't safe. Those two have such amazing chemistry together it is crazy, i was on the verge of tears. For me atleast I thought that was their best day.
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Ellen Dolan(Margo Hughes, As the World Turns.)
Outstanding Younger Actor Billy Magnusson(Casey Hughes, As the World Turns.)
Dolan is garnering quite a few notations in my book this year, with yesterday's episode the latest.
As Margo discovered that Casey stole money from Lisa, Dolan was on fire, the perfect blend of anger, sadness and sterness displayed in this episode, as she contemplated arresting her son for violating his probabtion and laying down the law with him. Later, her scenes with Emily were subtle, yet effective, as she thanked Emily for getting through to Casey to go back to college.
For his part, Magnusson displayed remorse, then anger with his parents, for what he called blackmailing him to avoid jail. Then his romantic side came out again with Hensley, as he his fighting his growing feelings for her. He is developing into a formidable younger lead for ATWT and yesterday was his finest work to date, as he was given the opportunity to show a wide range of emotions in a single episode.
Guiding Light May 28, 2008 Best Drama Best Supporting Actress-Jessica Leccia
This Rafe accidentally shoots Jeffrey story has been great so far. Best story in a long time. Leccia was excellent as she went looking for information about where Rafe is and when she found out Harley took him out of the country she was really good. They are involving a lot of characters in this. I added Best Drama too.

WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

Writing Submission: not strong enough for a drama series submission but strong enough for a writing submission.
Outstanding Guest Actor: Tuc Watkins as David Vickers: David does Yoga with Addie, infuriating Blair in the process. (It's really overdue for him to win an emmy)
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Pamela Peyton Wright as Addie Cramer: Addie and David do Yoga. Addie vows to expierance as many things on her list as she can and decides not to listen to Blair. (This is possibly the best work she's ever done now that Addy had some material)
Outstanding Supporting Actress (possibly lead): Robin Strasser as Dr. Dorian Lord: Dorian hatches a plan to keep Charlie and Viki apart and drugs him and moves him to her house. (The REAL Dorian is back---Strasser was in TOP FORM--this is the best material she's had in DECADES)
Outstanding Younger Actress: Fara Fath as Gigi Marasco: Gigi is FURIOUS when she finds Brody giving Shane sips of his beer and lays into Brody. (this is what i call Emmy-worth acting)
Outstanding Lead Actress: Erika Slezak as Viki Davidson: Viki grows worried about Charlie's whereabouts and is worried when Natalie says she knew something about Charlie's lies. (Classic acting---she was onscreen for a small space of time but made the scenes exciting and envigorating to watch)
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Kathy Brier as Marcie Walsh McBain: Marcie and Michael find Todd and Tommy/Sammy at the accident site and rush to the hospital. Marcie refuses to give Todd his son and lays into him about his behavioir and lack of concern for his son. (Brier was excellent as Marcie finally had a chance to confront Todd and let him have it--and as her worst fears were confirmed)
Directing submission
Outstanding Younger Actress: Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning: Starr and Langston discuss Starr's feelings about being home and possibly wanting to keep her baby. (I cited this episode because Alderson showed her growth as an actress in this scene, she was subtle, and it was so conversational and she made the otherwise mundane scenes sparkel and have speical meaning)
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

Drama Series Submission: The judge hears testimony from Starr, Markko, Langston, Blair and Marcie about Todd's behavior and his accident. The judge rules that Todd will loose custody of Sam. Marcie is desperate to get custody of Sam but breaks down when she is denied custody by the judge. Starr lashes out at cole when he tries to comfort her. Viki is distraught when she can't find Charlie and goes to Dorian's house to speak w/Blair. Addie attempts to seduce david. Blair is given temporary custody of Sammy. Dorian continues with her plan to ruin Charlie's life and Viki's life. Jessica confides in Natalie that she is pregnant. Nash and Jarred work together to save the vineyard. David attempts to discover who is in Dorian's room...
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Robin Strasser as Dorian Lord: Dorian continues with her plan to ruin Viki's life and makes charlie drink alcohol. She prays to Mel for his forgiveness. Strasser was superb as Dorian hatches her plan and pray's to Mel to forgive her for her actions... a great nod to history and she pulled it off well---even as she's doing such a vile, awful thing you almost root for her...
Outstanding Lead Actress: Erika Slezak as Viki Davidson: Viki grows weary of Charlie's whereabouts and is worried about him. She goes to speak with Dorian and is stunned to see David there. Slezak did in those scenes what amounts to some of the best work she's done in the last six years. She showed the entire range---humor, saddness, loneliness, rage, and anger.
Outstanding Younger Actress: Kristen Alderson as Starr Manning: Starr testifies against Todd. Alderson was excellent as Starr testified, but the moment that got it for me was after hearing Marcie breakdown when starr starts to cry...
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Kathy Brier as Marcie McBain: Marcie breaks down after being denied custody of Tommy. Brier was excellen today---her bathroom scene was literally perfect.
Outstanding Lead Actor: Trevor St. John as Todd Manning: Todd looses custody of Sammy and goes on a rampage, calling blair a *lut and promising to hurt Marcie, Michael and the social worker. Todd gives a speech about how what he did is apparently so wrong but nobody is punishing Marcie for her crimes. He was actually very effective today and i feel did some amazing work.
Outstanding Writing
Outstanding Music Direction: they've been doing some excellent work lately with their music--i love the soap operaish organ music and funny little music played during the Addie/David scenes...
Outstanding Guest Actor (maybe supporting): Tuc Watkins: David tricks Addie into thinking he wants her because he wants access to Dorian's room. He quickly pieces together what Dorian's plan is and isn't sure what to do when Viki stops by.
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Pamela Peyton Wright as Addie Cramer: Addie decides she wants to make love with David and tries to seduce him.
Outstanding Lead Actress: Kassie De Pavia as Blair Cramer: Blair testifies against Todd and wins custody of Sammy.
Congrats to Kathy Griffin on her second consecutive emmy win!

Best Supporting Actress-Judith Chapman as Gloria Bardwell
Gloria and Jeff end their marriage. Gloria is left with nothing and is back to where she was when she arrived in Genoa City.
Judith was great in this episode where we finally see Gloria hit rock bottom. Her histronics were toned down a bit and her breakdown was a highlight that could be a good reel for the emmys.

All My Children Friday May 30th 2008 Jacob Young-Supporting Actor (JR Chandler) David Canary-Lead Actor (Adam Chandler)
JR and Adam discuss Tad and Julia. They go on to argue about all the losses they have suffered in their lives. JR begs Adam to consider everyone elses feeling if Tad dies and how it will affect everyone they love.
I am in no way a JY fan. In fact until this episode I have never seen anything remotely great from him. This eppy changes my views of him alot. He was fantastic opposite Canary and hit every note right on. Canary was his always fabulous self.
I know I'm late posting this, but I'm a bit behind in my viewing. I'm surprised no one mentioned Zimmer in this episode. She finds out about Jeffrey's hospitilization, and goes through the emotions of shock, nostalgia, and sarcasm as she deals with Josh and the people who are at her home rehearsing for the movie.
I know it's probably not Zimmer's standard material, but she certaintly did hit home with the emotions on every front.
All My Children June 3, 2008 Lead Actor - David Canary Lead Actress - Bobbie Eakes
The truth comes out, Kathy is Kate the long sought after daughter of Tad and Dixie and everyone is furious at Adam for keeping the secret.
Canary and Eakes were excellent today in their scenes, Canary made you feel sorry for Adam and his actions even though they were so horrible. The scene in the hospital when Adam told everyone that Kathy is really Kate and the tears began to well up in Adam's eyes was brilliant. Canary was pitch perfect.
