The Young and the Restless

Best Supporting Actor-Daniel Goddard as Cane Ashby

Lily moves out of the apartment. Cane tries to convince Lily they could still be together. Cane remembers good times with Lily.

I thought Daniel had some great scenes and it made me feel bad for his character. It seemed like he wanted to cry when talking with Lily (Christel Khalil). Great emotional episode for him.

Julie Marie Berman
Thursday August 14th, Friday August 15th

Berman has had really no story to work with for such a long time, but this material should be the start of some great material. I am so loving this story right now, cause not only does it bring Laura back, but will have all the Spencer's at the forefront. Julie has been hitting it out of the ball park, and while I think the best is yet to come, the material is worth mentioning.

Wow. Bryan was great and by far got the who Film thing the best and great Comedy. Zucker rule too since it was her story.

WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

Days of Our Lives

August 18, 2008

Drama Series
Directing

I only saw the 2nd half of the episode, but it was a great homage to 1940s film-noir. There were great performances from Zuker, Datillo, Scott, and Bjorlin.

The Young and the Restless

8/18/2008

Lead Actor- Christian LeBlanc
Younger Actor- Bryton
Guest Actor- Michael Gross
Art Direction (for the Malibu getaway)

Michael meets with his father, who is on the run; Devon finds out that Yolanda is Ana's biological mother, and that what's her name kept his sister from him for all these years.

Whew! I almost passed out seeing "great performances" and Bjorlin in the same sentence. (I won't see the episode until later.)

The Young & the Restless
Best Writing
Best Actor: Bryton McClure
Best Supporting Actress: Eva Marcille
Best Younger Actress: Jamia Simone

Ana learns that Yolanda is her real mother. Gloria plots to takeover Jabot.

A real solid show today, with a strong script, and nice blend of characters. I thought the new characters truly shined today. Good stuff from Jamia and Eva!

I could not disagree more about Bryton Mcclure in this episode, he is such a bad actor and it truly showed today, hell that little girl was so much better than him in the scene where they were talking about their mother.

Its a shame that he can be called Emmy Winner

not to sound mean, but if that episode ever got nominated for any type of Directing award It'll prove that there's no good taste.

8.25.08

Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series
Julie Marie Berman as Lulu Spencer, General Hospital (ABC)

After a having a breakdown at the police office, Lulu goes to see Laura.

"It's gonna be alright. Momma's here"
Welcome back Genie. Secondly, welcome back Julie. After almost 2yrs. I have been not cared about Lulu and sure this storyline is to prop that horrible Lulu & Johnny story, but Julie brought it today and I can't wait to see how this storyline w/Laura plays out.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series
Melody Thomas Scott as Nikki Newman, The Young and the Restless (CBS)

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series
Jeanne Cooper as Katherine Chancellor, The Young and the Restless (CBS)

After finding out that Victor has “died” Nikki loses her battle w/the bottle and calls Katherine to discuss her love for Victor and the regrets about the relationship.

Now this is the episode that puts MTS back into the race. Her realistic portrayal as a drunk really impressed me. Having Nikki call her best friend Kay, is something that would totally happen in real life and I love how the writers played on that. And Jeanne Cooper could damn well be competing in the same category as her next year, but her performance in today’s episode was really beautiful and if she were to submit again next year and decide to go in Supporting she could use this episode as her submission. Overall this was a good episode.
