I'll officially throw out 12/26 as a possible submission for Rikaart in Outstanding Supporting Actor.

This would make an excellent tape for him. Perfect screentime for Supporting.
When Kevin said to Michael he wants to end it was some top form acting and I wouldn't mind Greg scoring another nom w/this tape.

Good stuff from Becky Herbst. I didn't put a category because due to her screentime I think she should be Lead but she would probably be submitting in supporting.

She was barely on all year, and with the people that run GH i don't think they would ever let her submit in lead.

Barely on? I wouldn't call 157 episodes at the end of November, barely on. She is 8th in terms of screentime for the show.

east/west it wasnt like rikaart wasnt gonna get nominated anyway, at least to me, but you know i said that rikaart would get something before the year is over. if this is enough screentime then rikaart would get the emmy he was robbed of this year. but does he have another good tape? he has two days left to get another eppy.

I don't know what else he had either. Maybe that dream sequence w/Amber and them or something else, all I know is that he needs to have that Christmas episode as one of his submissions, b/c that was some strong stuff.

Playing nurse #3 for the majority of the day that she on with one or two line is not what I call a lead actress

GUIDING LIGHT
Dec. 29, 2008
Jeff Branson (Shayne Lewis - Supporting Actor
Beth Chamberlin (Beth Raines)- Supporting Actress

As Shayne Lewis, Jeff Branson has been a wonderful recast. In the Monday eppy, we saw him in a hospital bed after rescuing Mayor Dorris Wolfe from a fire that he had started with Dinah. Meanwhile, his mother & father asking him to be a godfather to Reva's new baby. First refusing, and later accepting. Shayne was also awarded an honor by the mayor for his heroism, which he later decided to throw in the Peapack river.

Beth Chamberlain nailed it as she was torn between the almighty, yet somewhat defeated Alan Spaulding and the younger and sexy Henry Cooper Bradshaw. Her scenes with Ron Rains, John Driscoll, and especially Tina Sloan (when her mother told Beth that Coop wasn't Phillip, and never will be) were all spot on. More than likely Tognoni & Rylan will take the 2 supporting actress slots, but the always overlooked Chambelin, is not only smoking hot, but a good actress, who is part of the glue that holds GL together.

Just wanted to say thanks for tallying all that up. It wasnt the best of years for the industry but its nice to be reminded there was some truly great work done this year.

Theres really only 3 noms I'm pulling for and those are Peggy McCay, Susan Haskell, and Kristin Alderson they are my standouts for the year.

Goldderby ROCKS!! Thanks again.

Yes, this is great. One note, though. I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but Arianne Zucker has enough citations (10) to make the top five in either lead or supporting, but her category placements are split. Shouldn't that still land her on one list or the other?

I kind of agree with you there...but at the same time...she started off supporting and went lead...so hard to say.

Well you might as well take Trevor St John's name out. He already told us fans of his in his blog this morning that he submitted his name for pre-nominations and didn't even make it pass the list.

So Trevor's out of the pre-nomination and Emmy nomination for 2009, And as fan of his this makes me sick!

that's old news. the pre-nominations for oltl have been out 4 a while. to me Trevor St John is one of the worst actors in daytime along with Drake Hogestyn and Ronn Moss. at least Drake is gone

well excuse me for posting it. And he's not one of the worst actors on daytime that's your opinion.

Fath leading over Storms? No effing way. Fath is mediocre at best.
