Nice to hear Lucci is going to L.A. Kaye is no big loss, I've never liked the character or the actor and I'm happy that AMC will go on without him. Since he has decided to retire I hope Ray McDonnell gets a send off befitting his nearly 40 years of service to AMC and its fans.

The scariest portent is reading that ATWT and OLTL will be the only New York-based soaps left. I wonder if it's a coincidence that those are the two shows expected to be on the chopping block next year.
Susan Lucci says the AMC move is a huge vote of confidence from the network. To me it looks more like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

Chrishell Stause: "I Will Still Film With AMC But Not as a Contract Player" Submitted by Luke Kerr on September 30, 2009 - 4:19pm
Chrishell Stause's name was noticeably absent from the list of actors making the move to L.A. in the statement released by ABC which left many fans wondering whether or not Stause would still be in Pine Valley in the new year. Stause cleared things up in a series of tweets:
"So the official statement has been released. Yes I am moving to LA, but I am not signing a new contract with AMC.
I love the show dearly but am going to try and do some other things. Hopefully I will still film with AMC but not as a contract player...
You guys are amazing and I really appreciate all your support-this show has changed my life and I will always be very grateful! -xo!"
