Steffy playfully kidnaps Owen on Nick's boat the Shady Marlin, then gets into an accident, so Owen naturally has to rescue her since he's the expert at resucing Jackie from seagulls, Jackie from drowning and Donna from bears.

Jackie warns Steffy to steer clear of Owen. I'm not a fan of Jackie/Owen, but based on the little clips I watched on youtube, Owen and Steffy are sooooooo boring, that Jackie/Owen win by default.

Pam gets a new BFF. Here's an idea. Why not use Felicia or Bridget as Pam's "BFF" so they can actually do some scheming. Pam needs a counterpoint, the cast is overbloated so there's no need for someone new and Ashley Jones has stated she'd like to work with Alley Mills.

Bill wants to takeover FC and wants Katie to run it. Ridge fires the most annoying Logan sister ever. Brooke tries to find a way to stop the takeover.

Is this Brad Bell's best work? It's awful. 08 had the suicide week, and literally the entire year was awful. 09 is even worse. Emmy or no Emmy Brad's an awful writer, so it's no surprise that ratings continue to dip and long time fans like myself only follow the soap on spoilers.

For the life of me, i have no idea why Lesli Kay and Winsor Harmon are still on this show. It must be their air tight contracts.

I can see Harmon staying put. While he is a decent actor, he is expendable. Kay, however, is a good actress and a past Emmy winner, and with AMC heading out west, i can see her jumping ship as soon as her contract comes up...and who can blame her?
