The Paley Center for Media will honor what is currently the best soap in daytime-One Life to Live-next Tues., June 10, 2008 from 6-7:30 pm. The following excerpt was sent out to members of the Center:
"The Paley Center pays tribute to one of daytime's longest-running series, One Life to Live. Created by soap veteran Agnes Nixon, the tales of Llanview debuted as a half-hour offering on ABC on July 15, 1968. Ten years later it expanded to an hour and is still going strong, having been praised for its groundbreaking exploration of social issues and innovative story lines. Series creator Agnes Nixon, six-time Emmy winner Erika Slezak, executive producer Frank Valentini, head writer Ron Carlivati, along with cast members Kristen Alderson, Susan Haskell, John-Paul Lavoisier, Hillary B.Smith, Robin Strasser, and Bob Woods, will take part in the paneldiscussion about the show.
