So Kristoff and Bryton are both ****ed off about their lack of airtime and good storytelling??
News to those guys....it could be worse, you could be on B&B!!!! Just ask Lesli Kay and Winsor Harmon.
I am glad Bradski is FINALLY giving Susan Flannery a story of her own that doesn't involve her tormenting Brooke. So far, i'm loving it. It is also giving the wonderful Alley Mills more screentime.
And is it me or is anyone else feeling the heat between Brandon Beemer and Jacqueline Mcinnes Wood?? Great on-screen chemistry, Nel....do u agree??
As for Y&R, what i feared most is happening. Victor will get Colleen's heart and Adam is stealing Sharon's baby and giving it to Ashley.
This show continues to sink to new levels with these tired old stories. The show should have killed off Patty and gave Victor her heart and spared Colleen. Can you imagine what a story that would be. The one man who destroyed his sister, who still has a hold on Nikki, is walking around with his sisters heart?? Doug Davidson would give the performance of a lifetime. What a missed opportunity.

i think Meg Ryan is the blind item about the film star. She used to be on ATWT so she's probrally familar with GL on a superfical level and is probrally disgusted with the way it was allowed to just fade away.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

Nah...I bet its Julianna Moore. She was at Toronto Film Festival and was on ATWT for while and is NYC bound she probably still has friends in the venue.

it could be Julieanne Moore, that would make sense. Part of me thought it might be Anne Heche, but the words "Major film star" made me double think that theory...

I think OLTL is NUTS for getting rid of John Brotherton, he is fantastic on this show!!! HORRIBLE MOVE!!!!
My website and blog are taking a little break, since Geocities is closing and I now have to upload everything to a new site, so I am working on a new design and it is gonna take me a while, hoping to get it up by Oscar Season.
I may just look at youtube to check out this outrageous storyline on OLTL! Great move Carlivati and sexy Frank Valentini! It's political, it's over the top and to make the campaign manager the reincarnation of Mel is a nod to OLTL's history. Now this is thinking outside the box for a soap.
Maybe it's Julianne Moore since during an interview about her soap days (I think she was on the View), she had mentioned how much respect she has for her time at ATWT and for Doug Marland and his writing. So perhaps it's her, since she hasn't mocked her Daytime origins, unlike many people that break out of Daytime.
With all the mentioning of Y&R's black actors, you should have mentioned B&B's newest find in Aaron D. Spears. Based on the clips on youtube, he's subtle and a very believable actor. No over the top shenanigans, and the way he played scenes with Jennifer Gareis was great since he brought a lot of history and sadness that was never onscreen. He's a find! Now pair him with Felicia or even Bridget already!
The Dorian story on OLTL sounds good. What a creative way to tell a gay story! The only problem I have is why would Kyle & Nick be getting hitched? They just stared dating five minutes ago!!! That Nick sure knows how to reel 'em in! Anyone else notice the fiery chemistry between Tea & Blair? LMAO when Ross suggested to Blair a threesome. That would be something.
Why does ATWT continue to hire all these fired ABC stars instead of concentrating on the glorious vets they already have? The show's history is its ONLY hope of ensuring its future, IMHO.
I love pretty much all of OLTL's ideas for their gay storylines, except one: on what planet are Kyle and Nick ready to get married? They've known each other for, like, two weeks, and in that time Nick has already figured out that Kyle is hung up on his ex. Yet they're going to get married in a month!? What is this, B&B?
Bryton McClure gets unfairly raked over the coals sometimes, and this time around he makes a very good point. MAB has isolated the black characters from the rest of the canvas (except for Lily, to the extent that now she's isolated with Cane), even though they have relationships to capitalize on.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
They are going to be annoying a huge segment of stay at home moms.
Perhaps those stay at home moms could: 1. Get a sense of humor 2. Open their minds that there is a diverse world outside of their living room, and OLTL is attempting to represent that. Maybe it will help them if one of their kids comes out.

And the fact that these "stay at home moms" still watch the soaps is what I find suprising. It is comments like that gives the heads of the networks carblanche to not have Daytime evolve. Everything else has except and that is why the genre is dying.

Of course some feel this way. I understand your side but you have to try to understand our side. This country has huge culture war going on and if turning channel is an option we have then so be it. Many yelled up a storm because GL didn't bend over backwards for their cause but many don't like that cause.
They can tell gay sl but they know the gay marriage thing is going to cause controversy; they can't be that dumb.

I love it, people can tune into watch people be murdered, raped and a bunch of other horrible things, but when Gay Marriage comes on, they are gonna rush to turn their tvs off? Give me a break.

No, they fired her because of her deeply religious beliefs. She was on show for long time they had to know how religious she was and yet they wrote a sl ( which went against her character) just to fit their propaganda.
