According to the NY Daily News, Budig has opted not to renew her contract (which expires in January) will exit AMC once again.

My question of course, in the title of the thread, is a joke, but does poke fun at how horrible ABC treated Sabine when she was fired so Budig could return. Now, she is gone yet again, and unless AMC plans on a recast, Pine Valley will be losing Greens!

Good riddance. This character died when Leo died. Budig was always on fire until she left. The lady should have never left. She was the closest thing to the next Erica Kane that I had ever seen, but I threw all that out the window once she left.

I guess this comes as no surprise. Despite what AMC has done with Greenlee, I love Budig and I hope she finds another gig soon.

I wonder if AMC will make the mistake of trying to recast again? (I call it a mistake because this is a great opportunity to give the character of Greenlee a rest.)

I agree with AwardsMadness101 she was the heir apparent to Erica Kane and Susan Lucci, but Budig opted out and sadly the new heir is Alicia Minshew and the two aren't even compareable.

Maybe Greenlee should stay gone. I like Budig but she never captured the magic that was on display during her first run. That is not all her fault; poor writing shares some of this blame.

The problem is not only Minshew's acting but the way they have written Kendall since minsehw took over. They've stripped her of all her complexity and anger and made her a one-note boring whimp that whines all the time. SMG's Kendall could kick Alicia Minshew's Kendall's butt.
