I know this is going to bring emotions out of many fans. Ones of hatred and ones of joy, but I don't care b/c I am stating to get sick of this "is she or isn't she" business. I see the recasting of Malcolm is playing the safe way that Maria has been doing for sometime. Playing to those actors who don't want her back. Don't get me wrong I love Victoria, but Dru is a character that played by a good and established actress can bring a needed positive potrayal of an African American matriarch back to Daytime. I have always said that Kimberly Elise would make an awesome Dru, but I don't think she ditch her movie career to come to Daytime. So instead of her I am putting out in the universe that if Maria isn't going to get some balls and tell those actors how things are she should go on and recast the part w/Tichina Arnold (ex-Zena, RH) in the role. She is a name in the black community, a dynamic actress, a vet. of soaps, and a Daytime Emmy nominated actress. I think she'll bring that fire that Victoria has, but make it her own. So Y&R since yall are looking for a Malcolm you might as well do the same for Dru and really consider getting this actress in the role.
