Does anyone know what Susan Flannery submitted when she won her third Emmy (her first was for Days of Our lives, and the rest were for The Bold and the Beautiful). I always thought that the second Emmy she won for The Bold and the Beautiful was a surprise to many, and that Martha Byrne was the frontrunner.
Flannery is a great actress but she didn't deserve her 2nd & 3rd wins for B&B. The other actreses who were nom that yr. had stronger submissions so I doin't get the wins. If she were to have won multiple Emmys for her role as Stephanie it would've been for the wk at the beginning of the show & in the 90's. Her first win as Stephanie was deserve.

I can speak only for her wins on B&B but: she deserved her first one (though Hillary Smith would have been my prefrence). Her second B&B win should have gone w/out question to Finola Hughes. Her third one i thought should have gone to Julia Rose Barr and lastly her win in 2003 i would have given to either Nancy Grahn or Eileen Davidson.

Flannery has only won three times for B&B, not four: 2000, 2002, & 2003. 2000 was hers all the way, 2002 was a surprise, and 2003 was deserved (the scenes where Stephanie finds out Brooke is pregnant with Deacon's kid were excellent), but I thought it should have been Grahn that year.

yeah i totally realized that after posting this...
to clairfy:
2000: i'm okay with it but wished it had gone to Hillary Smith 2002: Belonged to Finola Hughes 2003: big joke belonged to Nancy Grahn or Eileen Davidson
I got confused because i know she won for DOOL and i kept accidnetly counting that.

There's NO WAY in the world Flannery should have won that Emmy in 03. Grahn and Davidson blew her out of the way. Shame that Y&R never again used the powerhouse that is Eileen Davidson in that capacity.
2002 actually belong to Colleen Zenk Pinter for those of you who remember this was her year with the explosion and testifying in court. This was when Craig was on trial for tryin to kill her, boy oh boy was this a great year for her.
2003...this really belonged to any of the other four women I believe my vote went to Kim Zimmer because this in when she pulled the plug on Richard. (please correct me if I am wrong about the storyline)

2002 really should have gone to Finola Hughes for her heartbreaking work during the death of Leora storyline... speaking of that, its a shame that Vincent Irrazarry didn't win for his work in this story.

During her speech, I remembered her acknowledging that Finola deserved to win the Emmy that year. She was even surprised herself that her name was on that envelope.
But then again, I agree with Mark though. She deserves all of her wins.

Boidiva,
You're off by a couple of years. Finola Hughes wasn't nommed for Leora'S death in 2002. In-fact that storyline was Hughes's last major storyline on the show (03? 04?). She was nommed in 02 for playing twins Alex and Anna. If you will remember Hughes was nommed in 2000 for playing Alex Devane, 2002 for Alex and Anna.
I will add, however, that I had Hughes as #2 on the list. I couldn't figure out if she would win or Colleen Zenk-Pinter. I truly feel if ATWT's tapes hadn't been screwed up, CZP would be an Emmy winner.
As for 2003, no reason why that Emmy shouldn't have gone to Grahn (her sister, Kristina's, death and funeral) or Davidson (cancer).

yeah when it comes to dates i'm ususally wrong--- i'll admit that--- all i know is that in 2002 it was a very heated race-- and i would have given it to Hughes anyways---i recall listing Hughes as my #1 choice, Flannery as my #2, Pinter as my #3 and Lucci as my #4 and Byrne last at #5.
I agree 2003 really should have gone to Grahn or Davidson---but Grahn ruined her chances with poor episode selection.
